I can't remember who first did it, but I have a small 2" gauge pod and an AC vent installed under the driver side splash-guard (misplaced my supplies so I haven't done the passenger side yet), but I still get a significant amount of hot air in the cockpit. I've been thinking about trying an intake hose thru the top holes in the splash-guard, but just haven't gotten around to it.

Number of different ways to get air in...sometimes it's good for those who have been around a little to share some of this stuff so the new guys can get a clue.

BKL have you brought any 'fresh air' into the cockpit area?
these are pictures of what we did on Harvey's Slingshot

11/4 shop vac hose tucked thru the fender

Funnel gets a little more air

    Hose tucks into the cockpit

I have this set up on both sides of the Slingshot

and also a 3/4 hose that come into the hole around
    the clutch
peddle. Not very fancy but no one sees

unless you point it out to them and dose keep
air movement where there is not much.

Well, there is always a bright side for every issue, where today we are lucky that it is only 200 miles to get to a dealer. I was just doing some checking and in a couple of years after we return to Montana, it will become 300 miles to the nearest dealer! ;)

Makes my 120 mile trip from the southside and around Chicago to La Villa (northside) a simple journey. Couple of dealers closer just not better.

Just a little advance notification for the first week in June. Three of us are trying to settle the meet up day in Maggie Valley. I will be staying at least 4 days myself (up to a week) The food joints were to open yesterday according to SlingSC at 25-50 %, inside and outside. They should have it figured out so we will not starve to death while we are there. I will start a thread

    Enjoy....

Yep, read several threads, several positive, but enough that I wouldn't have risked $700 on one. But for $50, I don't think it qualifies as a "nightmare." It looks like an easy install (minus the wiring Q). If it works, great. if it doesn't or if as others said, I don't like the sound, that's OK too. Just put the stocker back on.

These things sure do squeak, rattle and roll...but I have a $3,600 sound system. Come to think of it, I don't hear the exhaust anyway

Volume control on stereo handles most exhaust problems....

Tim just worry about 'what's' in front of you. You wont be using to much 'turbo' when going backwards. Hope all is well in Bristol.

Thank you - I missed that and it also says it wont fit 2016 - - guess it is only for 2020, but I also suspect it could be made to work in other year - - probably just needs some special electric hookup

You can get a heated seat pad for under $20.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No top but have a F4 5+ tinted shield and have had Baker 'Air Wings' for 85,000+ miles and would not ride a Slingshot with out them .

Get the Baker 'Air Wings' NOW...

Its kind of funny - I do have my road that I like to ride its right here in my own back yard so to speak. I love doing the loop from my home up highway 74 through mountain center and then Idyllwild and then back down 243 and around back home - - its not a horribly long ride, but it takes me from down here on the desert floor up into the mountains to around 6,000 feet and some great fresh air and scenery - its a really fun road to drive and sometimes I head out early and stop at the Mile High Cafe for a great breakfast

I would love to share pictures, but I never have actually stopped to take any - -

And you KNOW it didn't happen unless we get pics....so better get out there to get some.

    Hello Everyone,

I just joined and I don't see a search function for the forums. Is this likely due to the fact that I just registered?

Welcome to the "World of Slingshot Insanity" ... lots of good stuff happens around here. and just a little bit of FUN. Ask all the questions you want ... and YES some have been asked before but us 'old guys' need to be reminded of the answers also. Get lots of seat time in before going to NUTS buy mods for this great machine.

Possibly there is a funding issue related to the # of Corona Virous infections/deaths reported per area? More deaths more money. I certainly would never put that out of the question.

Hospitals do get a government 'kickback' fpr the 'corona virous' deaths....

Hello all. I know this is the wrong thread but I couldn’t figure out how to start a new one. I’m ready to pull the trigger on a slingshot. Should I be buying a used 2015 with 20K to save some serious cash or a new 2019 base which is currently $16K with r3bates. Thank you !

Welcome to the 'World of Slingshot Insanity' Lots of good used Slingshot around and the 20,000 miles on the Slingshot is not much. The used Slingshot sometimes have lots of after market mods that are nice and would save you lots. So many choices!!!!!
