Won best of show a couple of weeks ago at a local car show. There were a lot of kinda pissed off people because I'm neither a car or bike. Got a rude comment from a guy that pulled up next to me. He yelled that's as about as gay as it is you driving it. I said I guess you won't be wanting a ride then. I get most waves and thumbs up from other bikes. I feel sport bikes and can am spider riders much more accepting. I went to a motorcycle show last summer and it became clear real quick I wasn't wanted. Stayed 5 minutes and left. All and all its been nothing but positives. But from what I understand at sturgis they are excepted a bunch of family and friends went and said they saw SS there and were well received.

A buddy of mine and his brother used to go out in the dumpster behind sears when we were kids. They would just throw the broken whatever out each day sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers etc etc. They would take turns going in taking turns having friends go in so it wouldn't look so obvious. Anyways the manager of the store must have broke some sockets of his own. They were labeled with his initials needless to say the dumpster was soon chained up and locked after that.

craftsman are nice if you brake anything walk into sears and no questions asked they exchange it right on the spot.

Hey are you guys getting a weird noise from the rear end. And what insurance company's are you going with. I mean if one more person stops me at the gas station I'm going to sell this thing.

You might want to wait a week for some good answers to your problems. Everyone's at SSITS. I'm am no one to be giving advice on electrical issues.

Yes have that set and have a snap on set also. If your going to mod out your machine like some on here where its apart weekly then spend some money. But for and ocassional mod harbor freight will work.

Got my original nut still on. When i found out was a problem unloosened put loc tight on it and impact gunned it down. I put I mark on nut and threads to look for movement at a glance but alls good. That was a year ago.

I'm not knocking anyone's suggestions. I'm just saying as much as I use mine because the SS has all torx heads for most of its fasteners you will use them a bunch.

When I took mine off to change it I noticed the screws were loose. I put the new one on and realized your putting metal screws into plastic. So I took those screws out and got a little bigger self tapping screw the same length just fatter. I put those in and check it periodically. No problems with it coming loose. But its easy to change.

Happy birthday SS. I just brought up to my wife about my SS birthday will be 6/6 coming up. She looked at me and smiled and said why don't you quickley rattle off mine and the kids birthdays and how long we been married. I got like 2 out of 4 ain't bad. I mean its 50%. I couldn't right away remember how long we'd been married and I got the look. You know the one you get when you just bought new JRI shocks or she reads the CC bill and every other line has slingmods or alpha on it.

Maybe take yours out and go to auto parts store and ask for whatever comes out of a 09 Pontiac solstice. Compare and see if its the same.

You should have a list off supporting dealers that will be close. Never know when you might need some warranty or other work done on the way.

I'm a far ways from retiring. I will admit it scares me. I work for UPS and the last couple of guys that retired out of our building died within a year of retiring. A couple within 6 months. I really feel you need other hobbies outside your job. A lot of those guys I know for sure had nothing to do when they retired. Some I talked to regretted retiring. There wife's still worked and kids were gone. I just hope the financial decisions I make today pay off 15 or so years done the road for me.
