I've already accepted that I'll be one of the first to go if any crazy stuff goes down. I don't keep food/water storage, cash, bug out bag or underground bunker, excess of amo, or any of the other thousands of items preppers have. I also could care less who is watching or listening to me or my devices. I have chosen to spend my money on living like a dog when someone left the gate open. But, to each their own! I don't hate or discriminate for those who do.

We will be there. Getting really anxious!
Wish I had known you were looking for a trailer @Drew71646. May be selling mine soon if I can get the double trailer to haul both our Slings.I was actually going to buy a dolly until I started adding numbers up. After I figured adding wheels/tires I put a few more hundred with it and bought a trailer. I’m headed up to Little Rock today to by slingrzr’s first trailer he had built.

@Drew71646 , how far is Dumas Ark from you , I have people there and as a youngster I believe we passed through your fair city. Looking forward to seeing and meeting y’all.
It's about 60 miles from us. Lots of good delta farmland there.

We are ready to go! Getting the Big Kahuna Supercharger package from DDM Wednesday morning. It sucks to buy something and have to wait to get it installed lol. Going to buy a sling trailer in the morning to be able to trailer down. Bout a 12 hour drive for us.

@WrongWheelDrive, couldn't agree with you more on your JL choice. I have an all JL system on my sling:
JL MediaMaster Head unit-well worth the extra $. Sound clarity is awesome.
2 JL Powersport Amps MX240/4 & MX300/1-They will fit behind the head unit in the dash.
1 C5-653 Component set
1 10" JL Sub- Can't remember which model. The enclosures for the component set and sub was fabbed up by the audio store that installed everything.
I couldn't be happier with this setup.

I think VA is the same. Blue & red, I get, for green I am puzzled. But there ya' go.
Other than driving a SS in the first place, I try to not have contact with law enforcement. No LED bling for me.In Arkansas, green lights are designated for use on Hazmat Response Vehicles. That’s why they frown on green. However that’s the only color I run and I’ve never been pulled over for them.

We are prime members as well. never crossed my mind to look there for tires
They generally price match discounttiredirect and other similar websites.

I have Amazon Prime, so I always order there and receive free shipping.

@kev, I have a 2016 4x4 Tahoe. From my research, the Tahoe should be able to accommodate a tongue weight of 800 lbs safely. Shouldn't this be acceptable? I saw bigdog's post above. He mentioned taking off his front end for the piece of mind of having extra ground clearance. Is this required?
-
Yes you do @Bigdog and if the damn courier hadn't of missed the pick up yesterday it would have been well on its way by now! Will deliver it to the Purolator depot directly Monday morning, Dont forget I,m counting on you for a detailed review ! (as if that's not going to happen ! lol )
@kev, is this supposed to replace the dolly that you had in Eureka or is it just another option?

For anyone that already has a Vivint security system, they have doorbell cams now. We upgraded our system to it and it works great. Records to alarm panel and is viewable on the app.

I'm a new owner of a 2015 sling shot . I live in DeQuincy , LA but I work in Lake Charles . I just got stopped by the state police in Lake Charles and he saying I need to wear a helmet. He allegedly called his boss and said that i was wrong and indeed needed a helmet. The gentleman I bought my slingshot from told me I do not need a helmet.
I ride in North Louisina with no issues. @Bill Martin might have something better, but check this out:

Has anyone posted videos of the parade yet? We saw a few people filming it uptown.
-
BUMMER!! Made it to Shreveport and electronic throttle body went out on truck - they are working on it now / be there tomorrow......sometime
Not to add insult to injury but:
Ford=Found On Roadside Dead
All joking aside, holla if y'all need a ride or somewhere to stay. Can be there in about 2.5 hours.

Wednesday mid-afternoonish

I've replaced 3 of them of them in a year. 1 was my fault. A cattle gap claimed one on one of the Kerville group rides. The other two were the same issue your having. Slingshot aftermarket parts are generally high quality IMO, but these lights are true POS's.

I put $100 all in over 3 years ago. I thought it was a decent concept, but was not willing to throw $1000 at it. The reason was two fold. First, I wasn't sure they could build a dependable/reliable vehicle with up to 84 MPG for $6800. Second, I didn't really want one of the first ones built, I hoped to get one that was built better and there would likely be a learning curve of sorts. Not to mention, the other $900 in my pocket allowed me to get one of your tops and still have enough to take the wife out to a nice dinner! They told me 15 months until they started delivering them. That would have been Sept 2015. They are still saying 15 months.... 3 years later. And they have very little operating capital left at this point.
I think it would sell well. I think there's a real need for many people to have something like the Elio. Something reasonably safe, dependable, great gas mileage, and cheap to buy. Even if it comes, I'll likely not get one at this point. My '15 Impala is comfortable, dependable, and I'm doing better than 32 MPG to and from work with it. After having the Slingshot, I don't think I'd ever be happy with an Elio. Too Slooooooooooooooow......At least we got a shirt and a bumper sticker out of the deal!

WOW, Thanks, I think mine has that feature also....I'm going to relay that message to my dealer today. He can do searches with Polaris about reported problems and fixes. The only click I hear is the slight click the start button makes....it's not very loud and it's not the dead battery clicks....
Did they install another alarm system? I'm wondering if there is a timer setting or something built into the alarm....it's really weird it only does it after the SS is hot. Did your SS start if you rocked the SS in gear to move the starter?
That's the same click I heard. We just removed the starter kill feature from the alarm system. All I really wanted out of an alarm was perimeter protection. I never tried rocking it in gear. I would either hit the starter button over and over or push it off.
-
Yes The Polaris alarm...that said....if you rock the SS in gear to get the starter to move slightly...it starts....I asked if it could be the starter relay heating up...he wasn't sure..
As far as the dealer knows there aren't any starter issues or issues with feeling the SS slightly lurch during higher speeds...he claims new SS have a slight lurch issue...
The reason I ask about the alarm is that I was having the exact same issue with the starter clicking after I went for an extended ride. I had an Encore alarm installed. After weeks of exhausting troubleshooting, it turned out that there was actually an issue with the "brain" of the alarm. It had a starter kill feature that wouldn't allow the starter signal to complete its path. After removing the defective alarm, everything was good.
