I recently purchased a trailer that @Slingrazor designed and had built. I decided to trailer the 3 hours to Little Rock today to try it out. The double fold loading ramps were very user friendly, (my wife was even able to deploy and fold them back up by herself.) The long ramps and extended dovetail made loading a breeze. The triple shackle design, and wheel straps from US Cargo, made tying it down a simple task. It didn't move an inch all day. I pulled it with my Tahoe and could barely tell it was back there. It may not be as fancy as the 10K covered trailers, but for $2500 bucks, I believe it is worth every penny! Also, word on the street is that @dangerdarrell just might have its twin for sale. (See for sale section.) I believe he is getting a double trailer. I should have taken some pics today, but here are some pics with Trent's sling on it.

Looking at her shirt and glasses, she must have been Irish... So this happened on Saint Patty's day? Hope you went drinking after!
It was on Saint Patty’s day!!! Glad my sling was green. There was a bit of crown partook that day!

^^^ Only if he got lipstick on his dipstick...
(Referring, of course, to the dipstick on his 2.4 liter engine... )
I’m not gonna go as far as to say she grabbed my gearshift.......but, she might have grazed it!!!

Wow... I have no words to say... I just liked every damn post on this amazing thread...
Hats off @Drew71646!
Our green Slings have to get together in Kerrville!
For sure! Hoping it will be a green blur by the time it leaves DDM!

Well, how much money do you have, we can keep quite but if it gets out , not our fault.
JUST SAYINNormally, I would have some spare change. Currently, all that change is in DDM's vault, having pre-paid for all the mods I'm gettin in Kerville!
-
And you don’t have bumps or bruises. Did you get to sleep in the bed, cause I know you showed your wife her pictures! JUST SAYIN
Full disclosure:
I did tell her the story, just didn't include what she looked like or pictures. Not a lie, more like a omission!

And so we take off with her mom following some distance behind. The normal chit chat... where ya from, nice weather, first time to the park?
We are taking in the scenery, enjoying the air... turns out she will be taking her first job soon and today she is actually out to do some practice.
I'm considering our location and her out to practice... park, history, trails... cataloger, historian, park service...
As we approach a stop sign, she seems to perk up and becomes excited, releasing her seat belt. We no sooner get stopped and she hops out of the Sling and starts running toward the car ahead of us.
Thinking maybe I missed seeing something, I yell out, "What's wrong?"
She yells back, "Nothing, but I got to catch this car!"
"Why?", I shout.
And just before she jumps in the back seat, she yells, "Cause I am gonna be the best carhop ever!"
That's good stuff right there!!!
The only other details that I can add is that she is recently divorced and is an RN from Brookhaven, MS. So, if there is any single forum members from that area......
We already know that she likes slings!

@MBMedic, that's what I was expecting to come around the front of that vehicle! When stopping at Walmart and gas stations, it frequently draws the ole meth girls out of hiding.

A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do!
Good of you to be such a good steward for us Slingers. I would have done the same myself.
That's what I told my wife. It would have been rude of me to turn her down. I'm just not that guy!

You just never know what type of situation that you will encounter when you go out for a ride on the slingshot. Last weekend, the wife was having a girls day with her friends. I decided to make a 300 mile loop traveling along the Mississippi River to look at all the flood water. I decided to ride through the National Civil War Battlefield Park in Vicksburg, MS. At one of the first pull over spots on the tour, a lady in a white suv motioned for me to pull up beside her. The conversation went like this:
Lady: Do you mind if my daughter rides with you?
Me: How old is she?
My question is met with laughter.
Me: The reason I ask is, Mississippi has helmet laws for minors and I don’t want to receive a ticket from federal park rangers.
Lady: Oh, don’t worry, she’s 34.
At this point, I’m like CRAP, there is no telling what is about to emerge from this vehicle. Much to my suprise, this smokin hot blonde walks around the front of the vehicle and says, I’m riding with you today. And well, so she did! It never ceases to amaze me the humerous situations that you get into. I know, pics or it didn’t happen.

Wow... The quotes up here so far are $6,000 - $8,000. I love that green! Did they paint the outside rough plastic parts too, like the fenders?
They ask about that, but I didn’t want to mess with them. The price would have been a little higher I’m sure.

I got mine painted by a very reputable local body shop in Arkansas. Disassembly/Assembly and painting in GM Krypton Green cost me $1875. They exceeded my expectations. Just food for thought. Now that he’s done one, he said he would charge 2K for others.

We will also be there Tuesday so DDM can start on my installs Wed morning.
-
We will definately be attending! Great event with good friends and plenty of good riding!
-
So @Drew71646 kinda a Caddy ride on the freeway but control in the corners?
Yes sir, they provide a cushy ride while casual riding while still performing in the curves. Easy install also. Video attached.
-
I will take a look around. I am looking for a shock that will be more cushy if you will on the highway but still give me a reasonable amount of control in corners. Not looking to be Ricky racer but wanting a little more comfort. As usual, this form is amazing with great opinions and experience. Really appreciate it!
I was looking for the exact same thing in shocks. I went with the JRI Grand Touring and couldn't be happier.

John, both of my JL Powersports amps are located inside the dash. They are pretty small though. Suncoast sound pretty much removed my passenger storage door and built a box that would fit inside with an outer lip to mount it.
