Those lights are related . Loose plug.

Any idea which one?.. I've looked all over and haven't found anything loose.

Hi, I have a 2016.5 SL LE. In the last 10 days I had it in to address the brake failure light which was part of a technical bulletin and was done free of charge. I brought it back 5 days later and had the 5,000 mile service done and my Demon Speed Shop CAI installed. I had a blast on the 20 minute drive home. Loved the sound and throttle response. Drove it hard!.no lights.. The next day shortly after starting I had 3 warning lights appear. Brake Failure, ABS, and something else in the left cluster. I pulled over after a couple miles and shut off and looked under hood for loose hoses. Everything seemed tight. I restarted and no lights. I have now driven it 4 additional times, probability 60 miles or better with no lights appearing.. Any ideas?.. I called the dealer and they said to bring it in if it happens again.. Interested in getting your thoughts on what might have happened. Thanks!

Man, I would have done that had I known. Been wanting to cruise Natchez Trace anyway. Only 35 miles or so to Loveless.

Hi Jeff. Congrats on the sling! I'm just north of you. Picked up my 2016.5 from down your way last spring on a sudden impulse decision. After a couple thousand miles put on since then and more mods than I'd probably rather not add up I'm pretty obssesed and haven't looked back. Still fairly new here myself but looking forward to hopefully getting out and meeting some fellow members as soon as it warms up.

Thanks Wicked! Hopefully we can meet up sometime when the weather finally breaks. Looks like the Nashville area has 4 or 5 owners on the map, but sure it is much more. I was in Sloan's in Murfreesboro yesterday and they had 6 new SS's in stock, so our numbers should be growing soon!

In my intro thread I mentioned I could smell just a slight burn smell on start up then it goes away. On several people's recommendation I started looking for leaks. I found this under what appears to be the differential.. Sick to my stomach. I'll certainly get it to the dealer as I only have till May on the warranty.. Thoughts?.. Anyone seen this before?

So, let me ask, why shock upgrades? So far the ride quality is better than I expected and it handles fantastic. Love the quick steering. Curious to what improvements you get from an upgrade? I am leaning towards a CAI and maybe some of those cool blue hoses I have seen on similar Fire Blue SS's...I would also like to paint that rusty manifold or put a shield over it!

@haganjeff Welcome to the fun!. I Live in Clarksville and work in Nashville. I am a pretty new owner myself. If you ever want to ride together or need anything hit me up.

Sounds good Cypress. I haven't seen too many SS's here in Murfreesboro, although we have a dealer..Hope to hit Natchez Trace when the weather warms up. Let's meet up sometime, just keep me out of Nashville traffic!..It's bad enough in my SUV, much less this souped up go kart!

Uhhh, does it smell like rubber?
Welcome to the Show @haganjeff! Lot's of smart folks here - and a few more like me...

Lol...Yes, kind of, but I made sure to not spin the tires the last couple times out..Very faint smell and goes away..Who knows what it could be? Almost like when you first turn a heater on..Either way. She is running and shifting beautifully. What a blast!..I may take it in to the closest dealer since it is under warranty till May.

Hi all, glad to be a part of this community. Just picked up my 2016.5 Slingshot SL LE on Friday. Had 3,500 miles on the odometer. Seems to be in great shape. The only customization so far is the LED Light Bar and Gen 2 Full set of mats. Driven about 100 miles in the last couple days. Loving it. Hard to keep from spinning that fat tire though!

P.S. When I first get going I can smell a faint burning smell. Never smell it again after the first bit. No leaking fluids. Everything under the hood looks good. Anything to be concerned about? All recalls have been performed except for grommet inspection.

Nice to meet you! Jeff - Murfreesboro, TN
