@SlingLow Thanks for reaching out to the forum users for delivery. I'm ok with the shipping costs mentioned above so happy to get these shipped here so you don't have to haul them to Alberta and send them.

Let me know if there are specific questions, I just finished my install over the weekend.
Pretty straight forward overall, couple of hiccups but easy fixes.Sure will do, thank you. I have a nag into my mechanic to see if i can get the install sooner. I would love to view the video you mentioned?

This thread is attempting to redirect discussions being addressed in the Hahn SST Turbo System Group Buy Thread.
A request from: @rabtech below:
I just wanted to drop in here and get someone to give me the cliffs note version of where everyone evolved in this thread is with their purchase and install and engine running status.
If someone has a minutes can they post a 1. 2. 3. kinda of list for me on this...A reply from: @SaltyClownNY below:
I'll try and see if anyone has input...
Hate to do this in a list as there is more to it, but that is what you asked for:
- Group buy introduced January 11th
- Group buy closed February 18th. Bill gave February 20th as target start date.
- March 20th rolled around. A good many of us got some add ons that extended time a bit, but took much longer than that. I may have been the first to get mine on May 1st, but I had a 90 day window with my credit card and I wasn't going to let that go by. So I'll say May 1st was that start of the full orders coming in.
- I'll say just to have a round date, July 1st is the date which all units (hopefully) have been received for the most part. There are some units that need parts, but Bill supplied "work arounds" until they are complete.
- We've got one in CA that hasn't done the install yet. There were two "issues" that Bill worked out which was the smoking due to engine block pressure and the tune file which caused very rich situation and just needed to have a new tune file. There were a few odds and ends that were more or less install issues that we all worked to help resolve including Bill.
- So just a few parts still outstanding... Maybe?
I'm sure a lot of us can fill in a lot of personal frustrations, but I believe for the most part everyone is good... I think.A comment from me: soluga:
Although Bill had issues with delivery dates and communications regarding the recent group buy, he does eventually deliver. He has provided good product support for the installation and trouble shooting to date for a number of the parties in the group buy and a number of people have made these comments in the other thread.
So with the above stated perhaps we can use this thread to carry on the good active conversation in regard to the Hahn Turbo – Installation, support and general comments. Some parties that have been in the other thread include ( I may have missed a couple):
@Cobra66man @SSREAPER @WrongWheelDrive @slingo @BKL SaltyClownNY @sharps4065 @funinthesun @Casey_SS @Pascal @edwardaneal @Neosolidus @MACAWS @Ghost TravAZ @SlingLow @Orangeman @WOLF ericastar76 @@'Slingrazor' @MiM
@rabtech An attempt to redirect at least?

@Joker when we did his bobbers, we just cut it short, the pipe and fenders!
That looks real nice. Thanks everyone for the pictures.
-
Before I installed the Welter.
ok that looks good too. I guess i just have to mod the pipes a bit on the install. I will have two.
-
I just wacked it off short. Chrome cover didn’t go with my theme. May angle cut it. My suggestion to most would be to mark it close with an angle down, remove the tailpiece, cut it. Clean it, shoot it with high temp Ceramic Coating, bake it as per instructions and re- install.
Hmm looks better... I will consider the above as well. Thanks.
-
It looks weird. Now you could trim down the pipes a bit and put a decorative tip and it would look great!
Sent from my iPhone using Polaris Slingshot Forum mobile app
Thanks. Yes looks weird. Cutting the pipe on my eventual turbo install might add a lot more noise from the exhaust as well.
-
Anyone got a picture of these installed with side pipes out the right front side of the ss. I would love to get a set but it might look weird or ok? with my pipes hanging out a 1/2 foot or more on the passenger side.
-
I put mine on the side wall of the storage container behind the drivers seat. Lose a bit of valuable space but they won't get wet! My subs are under the glove box.

I got the BL-7000SLX with the 110 Volt AC power unit and use the supplied rubber blocks. Now i can lift my other vehicles as well. This is also a dog approved purchase!
-
Guys,Gals this is a toy at best, and very unique one in the marketplace. I would say this purchase would be worse than owning a B.O.A.T. for example for depreciation. So enjoy the ride, and know the memories will be priceless to you later on! Keep on riding.

Off to impound for 7 days for excellent speeding... but they called it "excessive"? Just trying to be the best at what I do best.
p.s. It's OK to "like" the post. Gotta laugh at life. And I'll get it back.
There goes my riding partner!
I got pulled over last week for a vehicle inspection, from the experience it was more like the "inspectors" and the "tow truck operators" wanted to check out my ride. I was able to escape without incident aside from some strong statements suggesting I wear a helmet. (We are not required to wear them in BC)

@rabtech Well i haven't done forums systems but I/we do complex IT solutions. So if you need a hand let me know maybe i can help somehow.

Taking the ss to Costco has really saved me some money for mods! Its hard for the wife to stuff in that patio furniture sees been eyeing up!
-
@studiopeg Yes the Slingmod video shows you exactly where to install this kit. I installed it and while installing the battery and fighting with limited space i decided to remove the kit. Now i have holes but at least the battery fits. I have the BatteryMinder Flush Mount installed so i can top it up if needed, but jumping i would refer to @samowens44 comments above for the Jump Port Under the Hood Mount instead
-
Thanks @Pascal for the tip! (I will be getting a mechanic to install my group buy turbo if i get it) Thanks @Mike in Victoria BC for pointing it out to me!

Took a couple of pictures of the ss before some mods a couple of weeks ago and the wife decided to jump into the drivers seat to make it look right! Well after the picture the wife decides it was her turn to drive, so my slingshot ride after that was as a "passenger"
Warning to all those male ss drivers, never leave the drivers seat if the wife is around!
