Like @Bill Martin said, this race is too important to sit out in protest because the system is messed up. If one says "their both bad so I'm not going to vote" or "I'm voting for someone who is qualified that no one has heard of", your not helping the country or yourself. You need to figure out which one of the two major players "say" they are closest to your values and vote accordingly. We may end up worse off that what we are but no one will be able to say we didn't try. just my .02

Thanks I appreciate that.

Thanks for all the replies. I'll shoot for noonish and hope for the best. Headed to Milwaukee in a couple of weeks.

This may not be the correct thread and if not feel free to move it.
In a few weeks I'm driving the Slingshot thru Chicago to Milwaukee, is there a "good" time to take I-294 around the city? I lived there 20 yrs ago and thought traffic was bad 24/7 then, I can only imagine what it's like now. TIA -
We are looking more and more like a third world country, and if 'she' wins it will just get worse. IMHO

He mentioned a kit that comes with instructions and a hole saw. If he's not charging too much for it I think it would be pretty easy to do.
That may be doable especially if he had a template for the holes. I just hate the thought of drilling holes thru the painted parts, especially up front where everyone can see the holes aren't straight...
-
I would probably let him do it but I'm definitely not drilling that size hole in my hood. If he doesn't want to share what he's doing someone needs to give him the dates of next years SSITS event so he can plan to be there all week....and bring lots of product with him.
-
It would be nice if they listed the expected times and miles on each ride next year. We got lucky and was back fairly early each day this year.
-
We made ours around 7:30 that morning so we weren't first but we were close....oh well. @DKF Texas hope to get to talk to you next year before the last day as we are leaving, at least I finally got to meet you.
-
Yeah, we got pretty wet coming home yesterday but we were in the motel drinking beer when it rained the other times during the week. A great time was had by all.........
-
We ran thru 2 gully washers on the way home and lots of drizzle. We never lost traction but I did slow to 65 thru one of them. Not sure what difference it made but I was pulling a trailer and had just had Cycle Springs install a Wing in Maggie Valley, this was on stock tires.
-
Maybe he'll be back next year. Another lesson learned!
-
Well crap! I started to have him install a set on mine and someone standing there said one of our members had a set installed and one of the pins had already broken. I have to quit listening to 'haters' and go with my gut feelings.
-
dude, that sucks....hope things work out in your favor
-
Wow, best story I've read all week....
-
The way some of the folks out there drive, even in good weather, I may consider riding closer to the shoulder than the center line..........just a thought.

@Gadgeteer, glad you all made it thru your instance with minimal injuries. I'm kinda curious like @harleyujoe when it comes your thoughts on the 4 point harness issue. Seems like a lot of us have recently installed them and some of us are looking seriously about installing them in the near future, any thoughts on the subject?

"the Rubber washer will get compressed to much and squish out. I also used a hardened washer that went around the collar of the bolt as seen in the pictures. Because you had to tighten it down too much it was not working with the rubber washer.."
I'm a "tad" confused but that doesn't take much.... in the picture where you have the bolt going thru both belt connectors, did you already remove the rubber washer, and is the black washer the 'hardened washer' you referred too. -
