Now if we can just figure out what the mystery rattling is coming from the rear end all would be well!

160 miles today to Borrego Canyon for lunch at Carlees then to Julian for some apple pie. Temperatures from 52 to 72.
And as I’ve said before when you’re out in the middle of nowhere construction blue rooms are always the nicest😜
Bittersweet day today as any sling day is a good day and I may get one more day in next week but then the cover goes on for a couple of three months and that’s a drag!

The electric and air buffer pads are color coded as to what you are going to do. This is just a partial list -Red = Heavy Cut Orange = Medium Cut Blue = Light Cut Green = Soft Polish Black = Final Finish
is the buffer speed the same for all pads? And if so what is a safe speed?
Preferred buffer?

Another overlooked use is to put them back on in the event your rig gets wrecked. I was able to keep my JRI GTs when my 1st sling was totaled because I kept the stock shocks. I also was able to keep my F4 windscreen, side-exit exhaust and some other parts I'm forgetting because I kept the stock items.
Yup been there done that and have those parts sitting in the garage as well. I figure if I have them I probably won’t wreck other one🤪

Well! From the side panels to the front are polished and waxed now. The electric buffer is a lot easier and faster.
I have never used buffers when it comes to waxing a car or the sling. Are there special pads for polishing the plastic on a sling as opposed to the paint on a car? Whenever you have some time I would appreciate you being pad specific and if there are more than one take this rookie by the hand and let me know your methodology on this. Many thanks

It should be a federal law that every weatherman must have a window in their office😎

Beware of the fine print!
Plus destination charge and set-up.
Logistics surcharge of $900 will apply.Don’t forget dealer markup!

Don't forget .... you MUST have parts left over or you did not do it correctly!

SCOOP IS COOL! Still can't figure out the wheel well inserts......

Anybody have any other pictures of what’s going on in the front wheel well? This is an area I have looked at with great interest perhaps putting in a flap up top here to close it off a little bit.

When my search began Roadhawg spotted the one I have now sent me a message and like so many others in this forum, helped me out immensely! Looking at the prices of the new sling’s these days I believe if I could not have found the deal that I did I would’ve been looking for an 18 or 19 as a starter kit and made it my own. I think I would’ve come out many thousands of dollars less than a new stock model with a heavy dose of individuality. But that’s just me😎

Thanks all! Appreciated- seriously!
Heading my left shoulder off at the pass as the right was done in 2016. No day at the beach. Glad I did it but took almost a full year before I was 80%. 100% now. My doctor has done a lot of sports people and has some cool signed jerseys on the office wall. But I wouldn’t wish this on anyone as you all seem to know.Gunna have to live vicariously through you all so get out and ride!😎

Going to try and get as much riding in as possible over the next week or two. I’m gonna be missing some of the best riding time around here as it is time to get my left shoulder rotator cuff done. One down one to go😡
The slingshot gets aftermarket parts so why shouldn’t I?😜
Glad I got the battery tender when I did… -

Absolutely gorgeous day started off with a jacket and ended up taking it off as it was 85. Went through the back country in the avocado orange and lemon Groves. Lunch at an Italian restaurant celebrating 35 years with my beautiful bride😎

Ouch! Happy she came out okey.
We had about 25 pounds max in each bag. Enough to know “things” were different but I designed the brackets low and chose the bags to only be 3”max above the roll bars.
Some will undoubtedly smirk but the entire bracket upper surface is Velcro. “Stick” the bag on and that’s it. Only one small buckle snap in front- done. You almost need a crowbar to get them off. Minimal bracket showing and no straps.
They almost look suspended- clean. Just road tested 1000 miles and perfect! -
Hope you're not top heavy. Remember what happened to Tanya.
The dynamics definitely did change so ya, having a higher center of gravity keeps you on your toes in corners. Tanya? Not sure what happened but I can guess by your context. Hope she is ok. I am still on the hunt for a gently used set of Corbin bags then we will be dialed in for the long haul. Completely happy with my set up with my brackets and bags. I will also change and pencil down my spring / rebound / compression settings as well.
