Pictures, I don't need no stinkin' pictures. Rode the back roads into Harbor Freight to get a couple of drop cloths and funnels (we're water sealing the church tomorrow, fun). Then took a side trip to visit Tennessee's' Finest Highway Patrol. Wanted to get a copy of the paper that was waved in my face by a Trooper while on the way home from Homecoming. This is the standard that the HP is trying to enforce here in Tennessee. Pipe dreams:

It is hard for me to believe the absolute crap that comes out of this woman’s mouth. I just really wonder how anyone who loves America could vote for her again —- obviously she doesn’t !!!

This whole ordeal is politics - if you boil it all down - everyone in the world wishing to immigrate to the United States is an immigrant until they reach the border. The minute you cross that border without governmental consent you broke our law and became a criminal. Would you treat a known ISIS member differently and just release them with a court date if they entered illegally?? If you didn’t would that not be racist by Democrat definition?? What do we do with criminals - incarcerate them until their case is adjudicated. That’s it plain and simple - if you don’t like the law a lobby your Congressman and have them change it. I hate to say it but children are collateral damage and their parents should be held accountable (if you can figure out who their biological parents are).

wouldn't it normally be a crime to knowingly involve your minor child in the commission of a crime?

"here honey, go hand the nice bank teller this note"

contributing to the delinquency of a minor comes to mind and I am sure there are other things that can be charged - - knowingly bringing a foreign national illegally into this country is a crime in and of itself and the fact that the foreign national is your child does not negate that crime
The children of arrested suspects typically become wards of the state. They are handed over to child abusive services. Did I actually say that! 😟

Personally, I like the hood latches that rabtech used. Positive latching at all four corners.

Unfortunately, the agent does not set the rates. That is determined by an underwriter and actuary in corporate. 😕.

Just thinking, the closest competition, size and weight wise, with big motors was the Shelby Cobra. The 427s were running between 425 and 485 hp and weighed in at about 2200 to 2400 pounds. The original run of 427s were pronounced “Turds.” Because they were so over powered that they couldn’t be driven. Sound familiar?

The newer has a pipe setup and is wider than the older ones and the mounting system in the trakhamr didn't account for this

Not trying to be a dink but this change was made in 2017 and widely discussed .... was TH not aware ..... :/

Maybe it wasn’t as widely discussed as you think.

New here and to Slingshot.Been renting for a few weeks and now I am ready to bite the bullet and get one of my own.Found the one I want 4 hours away from me, got the deal worked out, called about the taxes, then the insurance.Well, come to find out that my insurance company Farm Bureau will not insure it.Called progressive, they want $2,000 a year with under insured and $1,300 without under insured. This is insane!!

So my question is...Are rates normally this high for someone in the mid 40's with a clean driving record for over 10 years??

Thanks in advance for any info. on this matter....

Interesting. Farm Bureau of Tennessee does cover mine. It’s about $143 every 6 months. I have a ‘16 Ram 2500, ‘17 Mazda 3, ‘16 Denali travel trailer plus the Sling. I also have the house covered by FB. My whole auto/trailer policy runs me about $945 every 6 months because of a claim I had on the trailer a couple of years ago. Had a tire blow out in Birmingham. .

Picket up my SS from recall work and installation of the smaller pulley for my supercharger. Makes a difference. Did take a little detour (Delaware River)

That bridge looks familiar. What highway is it on? I spent about 7 months on a construction project up there a few years ago. Pretty countryside.

Better yet, did you notice that the Ecotec is no longer the engine for the Slingshot? It's going to be nice finding out just what's inside for power

I didn't see that. I saw an ecotec with a set of headers that wont fit the slingshot.

They law is gray here when it comes to a helmet in Tennessee. Supposed to wear one but like I said the line is blurred because I have a fixed roof. Technically its not structural so I could get a ticket. I've went through road checks and pulled over to let police look at Sling and even take pictures. Never had one problem. But just because you get away with something once doesn't mean you always will. We keep two half helmets in Sling.
The cops are claiming that you gotta have a roof and doors. The law says “enclosed”. BUT!!! The law in paragraph 308 ALSO says that auto cycles are exempted from the whole of this part of the law. 😏.
