Thanks for all the tips. Who knew cleaning a windshield is now a second job. Lol
Iam now sure that windex clouded my shield!

Good to see that you got down here, at last. Enjoy your rides in So Florida. So Slabama is a little damp this week.

What do you posters consider to be a safe speed in the rain. I see a lot of people talking about hydroplaning but no one had mentioned the speed they were running when it happened. This would be good info for new owner.
the first time it happened to me was at about 75 on I-40, almost no traffic. Caught it before it went totally uncontrollable. Backed down to 40 and put on my flashers and kept going. Water was ponding on the roadway, had Neto 555s on. At 40 it was manageable, but the semis weren’t too happy with me.

Outstanding news! Pray that it comes sooner than later.

It is going to be interesting, seeing all the reactions to the changes. People are so fun to watch...😄

Miss N has been down with a cold for the past week, so I’ve been sticking close to home. Had to get out of the house this afternoon. Got in a 70 mile run in beautiful 65* weather to get some lunch.

They keep making phones bigger. I always put my phone in my back pocket. I've been buying Wrangler jeans my whole life. Just bought a new pair of jeans and the phone sticks out the pocket at least 2 in. it was fine in my old pair? Great set-up for a pick-pocket. So phones get bigger & pockets get smaller.
Does anyone know what that mysterious pocket in the front is for? The little pocket no one uses that they could have eliminated to cut cost instead of reducing back pocket material.

Really good to hear from you first hand. Will keep you and your lovely bride in our hearts and prayers. Hope to visit your side of the pond someday. Really want to visit Wales.

We have a Twist GullWing. Love it! The smoked plastic gives plenty of open air feel while keeping the direct sun off my face most of the time. Combined with the Madstad windshield we have all the ventilation you could ask for and almost zero fumes in the cockpit. I’ve looked at others and wouldn’t replace it for the world.

Just got back from Chattanooga and my favorite dealer. Had an engine knock sensor issue. They reset the code and tested the scoot. Said that they have had several slings with the same issue. They can find nothing wrong with the engine nor with the sensors/wiring.
The service manager is wondering if it might be related to the latest recall. There MAY be a loose wire in the system that opens the circuit at the same time that I shut down the sling resulting in a false sensor output.
We are waiting for Polaris to send out the parts to fix the recall. Dealer will call me when the parts come in.
Until then...ride on...

Got to my dealer without issue. 85 miles. The Svs Mgr reset the ECM, test drive it and released it beck to me. Says that he has seen a rash of this code recently. Cannot find anything wrong with the sling. Thinks it might be related to the recall we all got this week. May be a slightly loose connection that loosens up when we fire up or shut down the motor causing the ECM to see a fault.
I’m going to ride on until the parts come in for the recall. We’ll see.

Been off line for about a month, took the truck and trailer up to the Upper Peninsula to see the fall colors. Got home Tuesday and got the Sling out for a ride last night. After a brief stop at a neighbors I fired it back up and, Ta Da!!!, got a Knock Sensor Open code. 😟.
Crockett Motorsports can get me in this afternoon. So, I’m heading down there in a few minutes. Hope they can get me in and out today.

My first trip to the Penitentiary in the front seat. Actually I drove. Had a blast on "The Devil's Triangle" with Frank the Tank and Elro21. What a great ride. Frank, thank you so much for your time, your hospitality, and most of all lunch.
That is one of my favorite rides. And the eats ain’t bad either.
