I have been on the receiving end of Painter generosity. He heard I was using the stock exhaust and said he had a heat shield he almost threw out. He sent it out the Monday after the Homecoming and I got it Wednesday morning. After a couple of hours of sweating and thanking Jim under my breath I finally got it in and my wife says thank you. She says it helps and that is all I can ask for. Thank you very much Painter.

Shadrac , welcome to a great place to hang out and learn. I am in Winona, Mn near Lacrosse Wi. Anytime you are looking to ride, give a shout. Tons of folks with great ideas and more than willing to help.

I would also like to thank all the vendors who donated so many awesome items. I would like to personally thank Dave@DDMWorks for the red coil pack cover which is awesome, I also won the seat back release extension but had already won several things so I asked them to reenter it into the drawing, thank you sir. I also won the Digital Guard Dawg keyless ignition system but am so embarrassed because I cant, for the life of me, remember the name of the individual who donated it. Please forgive this old man with a bad case of CRS. It top of the line and has two FOBs. I am really excited to have won this marvelous item, thank you sooo much. A very big thank you to Kyle D and ZZP who donated a number of great gifts, I won their really neat camera mount but also had them redraw for that since I do not have a camera at this time and had already won way over the number of gifts anyone could hope to win, Last, but certainly not least, a huge thank you to Ruptured Duck and Meansling for the merchandise they donated. I won the hood lift assist kit but again had already exceeded my quota of luck and asked them to please put it back in for redraw. By the way, I also have that kit and it is great. Meansling has a good number of great items, many of which I own and use. Love the bags (the winner of those will be extremely happy if he travels much), mine have over 6500 miles on them. They have seen heavy rain, hail, wind, hot sun and more than a few bugs and they still keep the contents bone dry. Gotta love em. Thanks to all the very generous vendors who were extremely generous.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I am praying for no rain tomorrow, driving down from Winona, Mn. Just got the dreaded brake failure light Sat. and my dealer, Sport Rider (Scot Riley) in Altoona, Wi. happen to have two sensors left so he said to come up and he would get it fixed for me. No appt and was done in about an hour and a half or so. Cant ask for better service than that. No charge for any of it. They definitely take care of their customers. Ready to ride and fingers crossed for good weather. Hope to meet many folks and to make many new friends.

I don't own a trailer and I am going to be in Huntsville next week. 893 miles from here to Decatur and going to try it in one day. If I poop out I will just find a hotel and catch some ZZZs and continue in the early AM. I love driving the sling and if KayTwo could do it last year, by gosh I can do it this year. I am sure looking forward to shaking the hands of so many people that I have read about here. See a lot of you soon.

When I change my angle drive oil I jack up the driver side when I fill it. I usually get in about 28 ounces. I also turn the wheel a little which helps clear out any air bubbles. I have never had any issues by over filling, the vent helps prevent any pressure build up. I read about this on TDS quite awhile ago. Works for me and not recommending it to anyone else. Just my $.02 worth.

Friday I took the rear tire off and really gave it a good cleaning, put on, tightened lug nut and went to fill up with gas. It felt like my tire was out of balance or out of round. Noticed I had a brake failure light on. Shut it off and filled with gas and when I restarted it the light was out. Driving it felt fine, no vibration from the rear wheel. Cant figure out why there was a vibration from the rear wheel. Went for a 140 mile ride Sat. and no reoccurrence of the issue. Cant figure out what happened. Just asking for help since I am heading down to Huntsville in a short while and don't want this occurring on the road.
