Take a Look at the 2017 SL LE, I thought this was cold air. I now know it is not and it does not look cool. This is why most folks want the Cold Air Intake system, for the attractive look to doll up the engine. It does help product more power due to cooler air that is directed into a cowling and filer area. The hood closes off the area around the filter that only air from straight in from front will enter the filter. All in all, it is a great investment all the way round. I like it! Filter maintenance will be a thing to consider, I am not sure at this point if this is a washable filter. I will be checking that out and develop a maintenance schedule.
My video is primarily of how to install. Maintenance is a whole other subject. Something to always consider when installing aftermarket products. I am giving you a photo to show the Stock Air Intake system for Snazzy. This is not Cold Air system.

Yes, Snazzy my 2017 Midnight Cherry SL LE does come stock with what looks like cold air intake, but does no come with the intake cowling that surrounds the intake air filter. Also it is does not come with a nice looking tube, it looks like a bent aluminum pipe. Now Twist Dynamics has a very attractive Cowling, connected with an attractive color matching tube ending into a nice Round Cage. Now the color grabs you when you open the hood. It does give some more power without the engine heated air intake. The cowling collects air through the closed in area bringing only air from straight in front of Slingshot. At the end part of video, I give you a chance to view the Cowling area and filter from under the hood closed. My installation video are very detailed to help the folks with very little installation experience. So, lean over my shoulder and let's get this puppy installed. Showtime!

Snazzy is dressed to the 9's with her new LED Splitter Lighting. Here is the Installation Procedure for you to add your own. Now I advise to go the extra and get the full LED Headlight System for Max Lighting to be seen. That will include the Canadian LED Headlight Assemble and the LED Upgrade Kit. Great results for me and Snazzy! Snazzy is puffed up with "Glow"! She looks great in the Daylight! Showtime!

Snazzy now has a full LED Headlight Display for the best White Light I can get. I have a video on the 2017 Canadian Headlight Kit Installation posted. This instruction shows the change out of the remaining 4 Stock Headlights and there are some important steps in repining the connectors that are shown. Also polarity is important when you have LED lighting. I cover in detail as usual, to give you the know how to do this your self. I know a lot of guys do not need my detail, so this is for the folks that need that extra detail and gain the confidence to take on bigger jobs. Good Luck!

Using the technique of putting air pressure on the overflow hose forces coolant into the upper parts of the engine and purging the air through the spout you watch for fluid to come out. This is very important to get this air out whatever method you choose to do. This worked great for me and I still saw the reservoir level got down each of my next 3 or 4 rides. Not too much, but did have to add fluid a few times. Then level remains the same now when cold. That is the time for a level check and also making sure there are no leaks at your connections. This is a pressurized system and you can not have leaks. I think I am the only one that has produced a video on changing the Fluid on a Polaris Slingshot. I got great results with no leaks and I have a new set of High Temp Silicone Hoses that will last for as long as I have the vehicle. Good Luck on your Installation or when you need to work on the coolant system.

Neosolidus, I have the Shop Manual and the Polaris way of refilling the system is to use a commercial available cooling system vacuum filler to ensure no air gets trapped in the cooling system during refilling. I went through detail to make sure people make sure the air is out of the system, also monitor the level for drops as air is purged while driving. It is harmful to the engine to have big amounts of air in the system. I found the procedure I used to purge the air online. The fact they recommend a vacuum filler means it is important to get the air out. Air will allow too much heat. This is only with this engine, I have done it your way all my life also. Thanks for your comments, it is good to have discussions.

Someone asked why I was changing the Hoses out on a brand new Slingshot. The main reason right off the bat is to add color to the engine area. They come in an assortment of color to match you Slingshot in most cases. A lot of folks, dress up the engine area with covers and all types of accessories to make under the hood a show place. I did this installation for Twist Dynamics and they only had Black for my installation, normally, White would have been my choice of color. The hoses are high temperature resistant and very thick. should last almost forever without failure. Here is my Installation Video for the Silicone Coolant Hose Kit. Very important to purge the air from the system when draining and refilling the coolant. I show the procedure. It does take a few trips of driving and the level of coolant will need to be added, so keep close watch. Main thing is to remove as much air as possible during the filling process. The video will show you how. Removing the old clamps was the biggest issue, but twisting and rocking will get it done. This may help some with understanding something about the coolant system if not installing the hose kit. Show Time! Three parts to get it all done.

Folks, I have been working with Twist Dynamics on Product Installation Video and Manuals. Snazzy has been a star in the installation Video production. Here is the Headlight Installation Procedure for 2017 models. I have other video coming that will be the LED full Upgrade Kit. Go from yellow stock lights to High Intensity White LED, 6 across the front, for now this is a start. The Headlight Kit can be ordered with Stock or LED lights, I got the LED. All is plug and play, no wiring to do. Now I also have the Extended Range Hood Hinge installed, this really gives more room to work in the front area. Now watch for the LED Upgrade Video coming soon! Let's Light up with LED Canadian Style Headlights! Show Time!

Here is the finish touch to giving you a full LED Headlight display, the LED Headlight Upgrade Kit.

We all know how much attention the Slingshot gets as we drive around and park. You may have something you would like to let others know about your Slingshot. I have my youtube channel that have all types of video about Snazzy, our rides, and how to information. That is what i have posted on my "Billboard" Area of Snazzy. I am sure you have something you may want others to see, so why not post it! Let your mind wander and let's see your message. Have fun!

I have heard many say they do not know how to edit video. People may make video of an event or ride and find they only want to show a small part that shows their Slinghsot in a great ride. Editing a video is almost a must, you can change the sound from just a lot of rushing noise to a nice music sound or you can ad your own voice and a description. You can add a number of video scenes together of an event. I think I have put this together in easy to understand steps that will lead you to nice video editing project of your own. Good Luck.

Dash Cams are great to capture our ride experiences. They have high quality results and the main part is long recording time. The Aukey Dash Cam can accommodate a 64 Gig Memory Card, with 5 hours recording time until it loops around and records over. Another great feature is the unlimited battery time, it is powered from your Slingshot battery. The one problem is mounting. Most are designed to mount only on the windshield. Not the best for the Slingshot, The rear fin, Roll Bar, Dash windshield support, mirror supports and other places work best for our best shots. Big problem is there are no choices that I have found for a base mount option. I saw a need and created my own, here it is for you to review and see if it will work for you, or inspire you to produce something even better. The Dash Cam Mount created is made for the Aukey Dash Cam, about $64 on Amazon. The GoPro Base Mounts can be found online. Us this starting point to create a base mount for your selection of a Dash Cam, good luck.
