    Today was the day. 8o

We finally got to hear it run today. Well actually it was tonight but we finally got to hear it run.

Most everything seemed to be ok I guess. It was a little concerning at first when every warning light on the dash came on. After I let it warm up for a few minutes I turned it off and restarted it several times and then left it sit and run for about 10 minutes and all the warning lights went off. So far no leaks, no knocks, no surprises. 8)

Do you really have to check the reservoir level on the SC @ 2,000 rmp ???????????????? :/ Dangit man! I checked it at idle (1,000rpm) and it is to the max mark. As soon as we have a day that is warm enough and I have the opportunity I will ease it around the neighborhood for a few minutes and then I'll have her hold the throttle @ 2k while I check it.

Has anyone besides me put the factory heat shield back on after installing a 1320 header and Welter exhaust?

I have a question about the 1320 header and the bungs that are welded in it for oxygen sensors. I was looking it over tonight and it really doesn't look like either position would give an accurate reading. At least not an accurate average reading for all cylinders. One bung looks like it'd be good for two of the cylinders and the other looks like it might be good for the other two cylinders. I have gauges on the way for AFR and Boost. As I understand it the Boost gauge is pretty much just for looks because the SC's don't have the "creeping" issues that the TC's have but I just don't feel safe running a SC on anything without an AFR gauge. I look at it as cheap insurance.

I was thinking that we were about ready to put the hood on but noooooooooooooooo, we were just ready to take the hood apart!!?(

I wish I could get my hands around the engineers neck that designed those tabs that you have to undo to get the hood apart. I'd like to hang'em up by his gonads and feed'em exlax till he crapped himself to death. :cursing::cursing::cursing: What a pain in the ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, oh well you know what I mean.

We still like doing the modifications to the hood and putting it and the rest of the stuff on the front and mounting the new windscreen.

As good a job as Kev did of packaging the windscreen the shipping company still managed to damage it!!!!!! It's not bad but it is aggravating that they obviously play foot ball with peoples packages with no concern of the damage they are doing. :cursing::cursing::cursing: I'll get off my soap box now!

Tonight was my last chance to work on it until I get back from Ocala next week and I can already see work piling up for next week too! Maybe we will get done with this thing and get it all back together in time to come to Maggie Valley!!!! Jk jk hopefully it will be a lot sooner than that but it just seems like everything is taking sooooooooooo long to get done. Is there anyone out there that is making a panel to cover the "Polaris" lettering on the nose? I know that there use to be some carbon fiber pieces that you could buy from Slingmods but they have been discontinued and even if they hadn't I wasn't going to pay $250 for one. It was a fight to get it off but we finally got it. Now we just have to decide what it is we are going to do to cover up/ replace the polaris logo on the nose. I'm thinking that "GHOST" would look really good on there! Wish us luck!

    Happy Birthday To You!

    Happy Birthday Toooo Youuuuuu!

    Happy Birthday Dear EJ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

ah hell you get the idea ole man! LOL

BTW: I'm probably older than you are!

Guys I thought I came back and updated this thread after I fixed my problem with the fuel gauge. Guess not!

Anyway I took the covers off the back to where I could get to the connector for the fuelpump/fuel gauge.

One of the pins inside the connector pushed back out of connector when it was assembled at the factory.

All I had to do was put the pin back in it's place and be sure that it stayed seated while I plugged it together.

All is well and the SC install is well underway!

I have to vote for the SC.

    Why?

Because I have one. Yep that thing has been awesome. From the first time I seen it it was awesome. You should have seen that UPS truckthat delivered it. It came flying up the road like it was going to a fire and slid in the drive way sideways. The the poor driver,,, I thought he was going to have the big one trying to wrestle that thing outta the back of the truck. He couldn't even carry it by hand, he had to use the two wheel dolly to get it into the shop. Damn thing left black marks half way from the truck to the shop. Oh and the sound!!!! That thing was screaming like a 14-71 Littlefield as it came through the door. Then he slid it off the dolly onto the floor. Since it's been a few days since he left it there and I believe I can see stress cracks forming in the concrete around where it was setting. I finally got it mounted on the SS last night but don't have any plumbing done yet but I can tell just by the way it looks that it's faster and meaner than any ole TC could ever be. Now where's that "White Beast" , let me at'em let me at'em!!!!!

P.S. When the UPS truck left there without it I thought I was going to have to push it to get it outta the drive way. Thing left there like a snail. I called the driver on his cell phone and asked him what the problem was. He said that it would get going somewhere down the road, you know you have to wait for these things to spool up!!! :00000024::00000008::00000008::00000008:

@WOLF just to let you know. Car seats fit nice in the SS

Blasphemous just blasphemous! You know the polaris gods will cast a spell on you for even suggesting that you could use anything besides polaris parts!!!!

That'd almost be as bad as using a part of a GoldWing on a H-D! LOL

I don't want to derail the thread but since I know there are several people following this thread that are already boosted, could I get someone to email me the "detailed instructions" for the DDMWorks supercharger install.

I am almost finished with the insulating and ready to set the drive train back in and begin the SC install and for the life of me I can't find the instructions. I wanted to read over them a couple times before I started.

    Thanks in advance!

tr ganey @ yahoo. com take out the spaces and you have it!

rabtech... That picture is sweet! I guess I'm not good enough or I don't know where to look for a pic of mine? It looks like I may end up coming down Friday afternoon and pick up pit passes and drop off the tech sheet as well. Not planning on spending the night, but we will see. I had to buy a new front shock, one got bent at the track day in Savannah while I was mowing grass, found it doing practice launches in the front yard!

At least you found it prior to the outing next weekend or another track day! Good Catch!

Wife just confirmed that we are good to go. So should be there Friday-Sunday. Will be good to meet all you crazy folks. I just need to book a room sometime today or tomorrow. Do rooms sell out fast?

A lot of folks reserved their rooms for this year when they checked out last year.

That being said there are still rooms to be had, just not a the "host" hotel.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
