Hey there Dread Pirate. I have a trailer buts it’s going up for sale this weekend. What’s the possibility of you riding your SS to my house this weekend and leaving it here? Weather is supposed to be great and my wife and I plan to ride some.
I have plenty of room in the drive and a full Polaris cover. If the trailer doesn’t sell quickly there is a possibility I could move the SS about that time.
[/quote]Is that trailer still available?

It’ll have to be a weekend after the 17th and before 2/1. We close on the 17th and won’t have a place to keep the sling until then. We have to be out the weekend of 2/1.

Hey folks! We will be moving from the Tulsa area to the fort smith, ar area (technically greenwood, ar) at the end of the month. With all the trips we have to take, it would make my life so much easier if I could trailer the sling down. Every rental company I search doesn’t have a trailer that would work for the sling (either not long enough, not low enough, not wide enough, and don’t get me started on those “car dollies”). This might be a stretch, but any chance someone would have a trailer that would work I could borrow for this short trip? Or any other suggestions (aside from driving it down)?

just got me a bullet speed roof for the sling but how in the world is a lard ass like me supposed to get in and out of this thing. is there a way to make the side pannel a little shorter without the peak and would a quick release drag car style stering wheel work if there is such a thing for the slingshot and if so what brand are reccomended.
Here’s the one I have. Quick release at link below, need hub adaptor and new steering wheel. I went with the d ring version in picture. More room while you are in it as well.

In Oklahoma the “extra” for personalized is $23 annually. The regular one is anywhere from $99 to $29 annually depending on how long it’s been registered.

Anyone have suggestions for us non helmet wearers? Would like to communicate with passenger and maybe take phone calls?

Would love to do some riding up that way. Years of living there and doing those roads in convertibles and on bikes...sling would be even more fun. Not in the cards this year though. Keep it going so next year is a possibility!

Supposed to have hail and tornadoes over the next couple days. If we get one, it will be the first of the season for Oklahoma. Very, very strange that we haven’t had ANY yet this year.
Time to watch Twister!

Seriously inexpensive at SuperBrightLeds.com. I bought the square pods with 4 LEDs each. I put 2 blue and 2 white under each side of the dash to replace the lame Polaris single bulbs on my 1st Sling and they worked and looked great. I bought the same for my 2nd Sling and added one more white one for the glovebox which will be on the same switch as the under dash whites. I also bought 2 red and two white for the engine bay. My plan is to install them on 2 separate switches located in the engine bay for a work light and a show light. Total cost around $30-$35. I plan on buying halos from them as well.
Do you know the diameter for the halos that fit our headlights?

I don’t have a top on mine, but I just bought LED strips off eBay and put them under the dash and just ran them to an oem style switch on the dash. If I did have a top I would also do the same thing for an overhead light.
Got a link? Everything I’m seeing has short chords

If you're okay with it, you can cut and extend those wires... Just a suggestion...
Yeah I thought about that. It’s kind of a cheesy head unit. Can’t take heat or wet. @Tripod would hate it!

Ok my friends.....so I have the bullet speed v back top and I’m looking for a way to add some “interior” lighting (really difficult to see once the sun is gone and honestly black on black it’s even hard to see while in the garage). I bought this led light kit on amazon (link below) it was only $30 and I thought I’d give it a go. Turns out the led bars are permanently attached to the control unit and the wires are just not long enough to reach a good location from the head unit to the bar. Additionally hard to hide the wires when you can’t run them behind the dash from driver to passenger side since you are running the led bar and not just a wire. This unit does have a “music response system” that would be cool occasionally, but that’s not a requirement for me. Definitely want light in the floorboard areas on both sides, and it would be neat to have lighting over head as well. Anyone have any suggestions on a setup that would work for this or if you already have it, could post the specifics on where to get it here? All I’ve heard about the OEM Polaris one is that they are puny at best.
Thoughts?

I had my issues with Will and once I talked to Josh he made it right so fast my head spun. I am glad you got helped out if I was Josh I would be pissed at losing a sale because someone doesn't communicate well with people.
I think it’s only right that @SlingMods_Josh knows about this then.
