What is your main reason for wanting a harness?
Sent from my iPhone using TTapatalk
Hi WingShot, I installed an SC and wanted to be more firmly planted into my seat. The OEM belt didn't feel too secure for me, especially when driving in the switch backs. Now when I corner harder, the 4 point harnesses keep me in the seat. IMO, I would install the PRP 4 point harness anyways.

Hey Stairgod, I installed the process 4 point harness, and I love them. If I'm not mistaken they are 2". IMO, 3" belts would be an overkill. For an off road machine 3" would be more suited...again, IMO.

I have a question for anyone that installed a sub under the dash...not the one you eat! Does it do the job? Is it worth it? Or do I have to take up space behind the seats?
-
To all of you that complain about the heat...send some of that heat this way!!! In Canada it's still hovering around the freezing mark. Damn! I want to get out and ride!

Thanks Chowder, I have all the necessary stuff on hand...I think...lol.

Nice set up Chowder. Neat and tidy. Do have an amp installed? I just picked up a JL MX280/4 amp, I'm starting install as soon as I read the destructions.

Hi all, has anyone installed a pioneer avh4100bs, with a 7" screen? I am in the process of making a custom bracket so the screen sits vertically straight. I noticed that the sun would shine onto the screen making it impossible to see it clearly. I will post pics as soon as I am done. If anyone has this unit in their sling, can you please post some pics?

@Lui We have the Silhouette Cameo. It has been a good machine and we have done a lot of different things with it. We have spent literally hundreds if not thousands of dollars on stuff that we have done with it since we've had it and we've never sold a single piece. Most have been presents for friends and family but some have been door prizes for gatherings we were attending or gifts for guest speakers and some have been given to charities to be sold at events to raise money for that charity.
Some of the neatest things we've done have been mirrors and glass work. Find you a beautiful mirror and take the glass out of it. Make you an image or poem etc on the Cricut and cut it out and throw it away. Now use the part that you would normally throw away and stick it to the back of the mirror. Turn the pressure WAY down in your sand blasting cabinet and gently blast the mirroring off the back of the glass. When your done spray paint the back of the mirror with what ever color you like.We have also done cases and cases of beer mugs. You use the same method as with the mirrors but you don't paint it.
We've also done a few of the iron on things but don't really like fooling with that. If you have a press that would be a different story.
You will spend untold amounts of time sitting in front of your computer working on art work and fonts!
Good luck and have fun!
Hi Ghost, I bought the Cricut Explore Air 2. I have made some practice cuts, and I love it...lol...for now. I am going to make a decal for the rear wheel I had powder coated. My Queen is following me around now, telling me..." ...no you can't decal that!!!" Such a kill joy...lol. Now I am searching for fonts that I like. Thanks again for the info Ghost! Cheers

Hi all,
Has anyone considered in buying a vinyl cutting machine. I have done a bit of research, and the Cricut vinyl cutters seem impressive in what they can do. -
Tripod, that was an awesome movie. I laughed all the way through it.

Omg! That looks like our pizza delivery guy, when we were in Naples Italy...his ride looked like that, and he drove like that too!...lol.

Thats freeking awesome! Congrats on all the peeps that made it happen. Now...let's see this sling humiliate some stangs and vettes. I'll bring the tissues! Lmao

Hmmm? How can we beat the sense out of someone, when they clearly have no sense at all? Isn't it just a waste of time to spend on waste? IMO

I don't have your answer @Lui but I seem to remember reading that the waterproof cover of the stock seat is a spray on material. If you cut through it, you would want to figure out how to regain the waterproof integrity of the cover. Anyone who has done this might be able to tell you if you can buy such spray-on waterproof material to reapply where you cut through it.
Thanks for the reply SlingLow. I think much more research is needed. I don't want to dish out mega dollars for other seats.

Hi All,
I have a couple seat mod questions. From what I have read, we should have the harness pass through the seat back rather than around the seat head rest area. Has anyone modded their seat back, instead of buying new seats

This may sound insane, but...if I put and anvil attached to the rear fender, will that help with traction?
-
Hi Rabtech, is that your rear tire? I am wondering because of the extra ponies you have?
-
Hi all,
Have you ever heard of this tire? I want grip like a slick, with a DOT rating for the street. I have a 305/30r/20, but with an SC going in next week, I probably should consider a stickier tire...better than my Kenda. Please chime in.ADVAN A048
Street/Racetrack
The Yokohama ADVAN A048 is a competition and streetable track tire made for high performance driving. It has superior traction capability for excellent handling. Though the ADVAN A048 meets DOT requirements, it is not designed to be used in standing water, icy or snowy weather environments. -
This is exactly what I love about this forum. Everyone chiming in with awesome ideas and experience. I guess a trailer fender is in the budget... didn't want to, but alas..., I have to. Thanks Gooseman. Cheers!
