Happy birthday brother. Guess I have to make a cake now for Saturday's wrench session.

The Dodge brothers got to be smiling.

I am considering the same tires when it comes time for replacement on my base 2015. If you did a semi-wheelie instead of spinning out it sounds like they are a good choice traction-wise.

I think PRP figures if Alpha can get $699 for racks that 400 is chump change. Buy a hitch and I have seen used cycle trailers for that money.

Joe, Lucas and your better halves-great ride today. Post a picture from the overlook for all to see how high we were.
-
See you there. Hope Joe and others can join us.

First, let's meet at the RT 522 Front Royal intersection of RT 66. For those coming on 66 take the exit and take a right on 522 N towards Winchester, one block go right at first light at the 7/11 truck stop. Go about 100 yards to circle and go into the shopping center (Lowes, Walmart, etc). There is a closed down Checkers (last time I was that way) across from the Lowes and we can meet there, say 10:30. In that strip or across the street there is Cracker Barrel, IHOP, McAlister's Deli and others. Other choices abound in the area and we can decide at the meet up. I'm totally open to meeting time as I have no obligations for the day. I have a variety of choices, all beautiful valley roads, which we will decide once I know when or if my fellow slingers have momma plans for later. Let me know a consensus time if 10:30 doesn't work.
Rock, confirm the plan and we will go from there. Once I leave my house in the morning I won't have cell coverage until I get to Front Royal. If anyone needs me after 0930 call or text 540-216-1626. -
I was thinking of meeting in Front Royal, which is close or easy to get to. If agreeable, I will research a diner for brunch/lunch in the area and I know some fine trips in parts west.

My first mod (after the bell housing dust cover) back in Jan. 2015 was the Full Blown Motorsports teardrop end exhaust with its' Magnaflow muffler. Loved the sound and sense of added power. In the summer while my ECU was at Bob's I added the 1320 headers and was loving life after I was back on the road. It rumbled, crackled and popped depending on RPM.
Lately the decibel level has grown a little old to me. My brother, who in another life probably drove for Ferrari, told me last month it was obnoxious riding right side. Allowing for the fact that he is old (67 VS. my 66) I have come to agree, especially after listening to Jdin's Alpha variable during a wrench session at the Rock's house.
Long story short-I see my Alpha CAI getting another family member in the near future.PS
open to offers on the FBM exhaust. Let me add the fact that I also installed the Vortex cone silencer that made a huge difference with the reverb effect of any exhaust that bounces off the road. -
Polaris sent two same side pieces even though they had different part numbers on the tags. A call to the warehouse revealed that all in stock were marked wrong. QC.
Anyway, let's talk in the next few days about Sunday. -
Rock and Jdin-
I'm up for a ride Sunday. I have to be at Valley Cycle first thing Monday to get the front fenders warranty replacement so if either of you is around you can rescue me.
-
JDin,
I told Rock I will help with the new exhaust. I already have the headers and really liked your adjustable. My teardrop has gotten a little old on me despite my lousy hearing. Let me know when you want to wrench.
-
My turn signal problem is that unless I hold the wheel straight the signal won't stay on. Anybody else have this?
-
At least being addicted to mods on my sling doesn't hurt my waistline.
-
Just an FYI to my local sling buddies-last week here in Culpeper, home of Tanom, they closed down the main street in Old Town for a film crew to do a special on the Invader. A new reality show on the Velocity channel called Toymakerz will have a two hour debut on Sept. 16. Good chance there will be no mention of Tanom vs. Slingshot at Summit Point.

Don't be so hasty. With any order you might get entered in the Nigerian National Lottery as a guaranteed winner.
-
I use the Sena SMH10 in the Bell Sena helmet designed for it. It works but with somewhat impaired hearing I don't get enough volume plus the sound quality isn't what it should be IMO.
-
Rock took the words out of my mouth when he said the Invaders at twice the cost don't like to be shown up. I don't think any of the comments were in anyway disrespectful to fellow members or competitors. We Sling owners realize what a bargain we own compared to the Tanom product. Sorry I couldn't be there to meet more of the gang but if a trip to the Tanom is set up you can all meet at my house.

To my friend, the Rock:
He hosts, he wrenches, he drives like a SOB.
My canoe camping groups annual fundraiser was great but looks like you had a blast. This old man is going to have to sharpen his skills and I'm sure you will help do that like you do with the wrenching.
I know Sandy Hall, the owner of Tanom and his factory is 15 minutes from my house so if the gang wants to make a list of issues I will present it to him personally. He is a decent guy who sounds like had a less than stellar day. Last year he invited me to join him on a similar track day which I couldn't attend when he saw my Sling in front of the local rental store. I think all of us need to take a step back from some of the conflicts in our Sling community such as differences with vendors, competitors, forums, etc. and give Sandy credit for trying to bring a product to market without the resources Polaris has. He might even have better quality control, LOL. Besides, we always have our political "leaders" to divide us.
Once again, congrats on what looked to me like a great time you set up based on all the comments here. Now be ready for more wrenching as I have more goodies coming (cosmetic ones). -
Have almost 12,000 on 2015 base and tires look great. Have only engaged in moderate hooliganism.
