I purchased the @SlingTunes antenna at Maggie Valley. I'll begin testing it this week. Right now I can only get one of the 7 radio stations in Madison IF I am in Madison. I purchased this fully knowing it may not improve what I experience but for the price I was willing to take the chance. Most of the time I use bluetooth but when the clouds turn gray I would like to get some weather reports

I barely used the FM, but when I did I picked up the Chicago stations no problem. Even with no antennae right now I can pick up 92.3 out of Chicago and it's crystal clear (not my station of choice though). I don't think I would need anything extreme to pick up stations. I also noticed that since I disconnected the antennae I no longer have any interference on my back up camera, so using an aftermarket and routing it up front would be a plus.

I had the Welter dual exhaust installed at SSITS and I love it. However, I was wondering if anyone has painted the last pipe (the Y pipe) with some sort of high heat temperature exhaust paint to match the rear panel. Maybe Painter knows a little about this or even Jeff. I thought about black heat wrap but was informed that could cause the stainless steel pipe to crack over time.

If it can be done, maybe someone can recommend the best paint to do this.

I have no idea how hot the exhaust gets, but found this at Menards....may work? High Temp Paint

So, Joy was riding behind me today and informed me the 3rd brake light was out. After tearing everything apart found out it is the antennae that is the culprit. I bypassed the antennae because I barely listen to the FM stations anyways and the 3rd brake light is more important. Okay, so now that I got that all out....is anyone using an aftermarket antennae and if so, what?

Teflon tape or plumbers putty. Apply to threads only.

That is what I was thinking if it seems to start leaking again. I called DDMWorks when I installed it and they said they haven't heard of any issues with anything leaking and no tape was needed, but I just installed this in January and it already started leaking. We will see if I need to do it.

Has anyone had any issues with their @Dave@DDMWorks coolant tank leaking from the plug that would be used for the coolant reroute? I noticed today that I had a little puddle below the tank and found signs it was running down the side from the plug. I torqued it down more and it didn't appear to show any further signs of leaking after a couple hour ride tonight. Just curious if anyone had this and what they did to resolve it.

So I took the sling out for a couple hours tonight and avoided downshifting and it didn’t bog down at all. I also checked and that vacuum line is capped. I guess I’ll try downshifting next time I’m out and see what happens.

I only fill it until the pump shuts off.

I will have to check this out...

Actually no, it did it when I first got it and was running regular fuel. I switched to premium and it hasn’t had any issues since. It’s not throwing any codes and seems fine all other times. Just when stopping.

So we took the SS out this morning and I noticed that when I am coming to a stop it is bogging down and acts like it is going to die. I watch the RPMs and they are dropping below 500, but it is only for a second. We had it out for several hours yesterday and I noticed no issues. Any ideas?

I just bought my 2018 SL-R Slingshot this past weekend and really really love the autocycle. There is literally no vehicle that looks more beautiful.

Anyway, I paired my BT to my Ride Command and the audio works fine but when accessing my phone, I don't hear anything. I looked in the manual and tried googling it but found no info. Should I return it back to the dealer?

What do you mean by you don't hear anything? Are you trying to stream music via bluetooth or make a phone call?

    Semper Fi Gunny...

Well this last week has been a lot of back and forth, but we have decided to pull the plug on this trip. Too far and too much money to not be able to enjoy the weather....Hopefully next year will be better. Thanks @KayTwo for the hospitality and we regret that we can't make it.

what the hell are you talking about!
Funcyle, Ghostryder and myself have already completed the rattler. Now in Newport headed for foothills parkway, the dragon, wyah bald, hwy 107, BRP and down the hill to the valley for a refill. After lunch we may ride a little while cause the weather is supposed to get even better!

I am beyond confused...the weather channel is making it seem like it’s torrential rain...for the whole week! @Ghost are you guys riding in the rain?
