Does anyone have the agenda for this weekend’s meet in Vegas. I am in town, without the SS and want to come down and check out some units and the vendors.

Well, they're welcome to produce and market what they want as long as it doesn't violate patent law or anything like that....and we're welcome to share *our* information amongst us as well.

    Caveat Emptor, indeed.

Not gonna lie ..... I had to look up Caveat Emptor, as i am sure a few others had too as well.

I would be very careful about attaching a plate with 3m tape only at this location. Imagine the car/motorcycle behind you if it lets loose. A close look at the picture on their site shows 2 holes in the same location as mine on the red plate even though theirs does not use them. I 'm sure that is my plate and I'd bet my left nut that it was purchased from me in Sundre by a gentleman who told me he repped for a Canadian site that was looking to import into the Canadian market. My follow up communications went unanswered. Additionally, the last color listed is what they show: gloss red real aluminum diamond plate (out of stock). Imagine that.

Thanks KayTwo , by the way Glen D , mine are less $, made from .060 diamond plate and are powder coated. The gloss plates are also clear coated.

Wow!! I had to take a close look at the pic. I thought that was my SS at first! The checker plate is one of your for sure!!! SlingLow's checker plate rear protection is the way to go!!

All is great. Hope all is good with you too.

Just booked a trip to Vegas and than found out that I am there while the meet is there. Going to make the trip that much better just to go and check out some slings. Might be a bit depressing as my sling will still be at home, probably on the axle stands.

I just want to throw a huge thanks out at @SundreSlingQueen and @Slingshot Garage! I am pretty confident that on behalf of everyone that attended I can say thanks for doing this awesome event. There were many hurdles and last minute changes, but in the end it was a pretty sweet weekend!

To my the American Slings that came up, @KayTwo @exharleyrider @Ross @SlingLow and Harvey, and anyone else I forgot, thanks for coming up and sharing your knowledge and experiences with the SS’s. Without you guys, most of us would still be pretty blind to what a lot of the mods really looked like and what the quality was. You guys were all class acts and if ever in the Edmonton area, I have a few extra rooms that you and your families would be more than welcome to use!

All in all, a great event and even better people...... and Jared!!

Drive home safe to all on the roads!

I am heading to Sundre for the 2018 Slingfest and plan on bringing some of my rear protection plates to sell - and one for the raffle. If anyone is interested, send me a message and it will help to ensure I bring enough of each color. Especially you Canadian friends who can save on shipping and import duties. I can also bring luggage racks for anyone interested but won't really have room unless they are spoken for ahead of time. Looking forward to meeting the forum members who attend! Cheers!

When installing the rear protection plate, will we have access to the third brake light? I have one to install, but have not had the back end pulled apart. Figured if we have access to it when installing the plate than I might as well wait till next week.

ME ME ME ME ME ME

This is the most amazing thing to me in all of this!
Who knew moose-drawn carriages could go so far so fast over the tundra! :P

You would be surprised how fast they are! We have specially trained polar bears to chase them to speed up service around here to get those packages to our igloos quick!

You needn't think that you cannucks are going to keep @kev all to yourselves! That border thing is just some dried ink on a map.

For a little dried up ink on a map, it sure is making a ton of money on both sides in tariffs! I know to get anything besides a letter shipped north of it costs a limb. One more order for me and i will have to make sure to include an automatic conversion kit as i will probably be down a leg or two!!!

On a more serious note, I am sure that @kev 's customer service and knowledge are just as well on either side of the boarder and do not cost more north of the boarder....which is rare.

A little while back I contacted three different suppliers for some pricing including shipping, two guys in Canada and one in Florida. I ended up going with @kev. Of the two guys in Canada that i contacted @kev seemed to know what he was talking about and knew the parts when we talked about them. The other guy did not seem to be nearly as knowledgeable on the SS and he did not return a phone call once he was set up to take credit cards. Not going to lie @kev was about $25 CDN more expensive, but knowledge and customer service is power and i have no problem paying a tad more. On top of the $25 more expensive, i did receive more than that back in points with his 5% point system and did take advantage of his price matching. The other reason I went with @kev, his quoted price included all duties and fees. I can not say that for the guys out of Florida, who were similarly priced but did not cover duties or fees.

One item in my order, I did not do enough research on. Once i placed the order @kev had no problems switching it for a different product a few days later.

My order arrived at my door one day less than 6 weeks from the time I placed the order, however, I knew when I ordered that the windshield was made to order as it was an extra dark grey.

During this 6 week the lines of communication remained open and when asked about the order he would find out what he could from the his supplier and relay that info.

I highly recommend @kev to all the Canadians who are looking at after market parts.

    Purchased from @kev at Allthingsslingshot.com

Installed the new Twist Dynamics 9" Adjustable windshield Tuesday night. Took approx. 1.5 hours by myself. Installation was easy for the most part as it came with instructions. The one bump in installation I had was which edge is the top. First time around I had the top to the bottom and the center "I" piece upside down. Second time I had the "I" piece upside down. Third time was a charm and I got it all good. I did scuff it a tad when i closed the hood and it was upside down.

A few tips on installation. There is an engraved Twist Logo on the windshield in the center, this was how i finally figured what was the top edge. The adjustable brackets need to face forward, not out on a 45 degree angle.

I have a 2016 Black Pearl SLLE. This windshield does sit a little higher than stock. At 5'9" I still look over it if i sit up straight.

I currently have it sitting at the lowest position and what a difference!! The wind used to hit me in the forehead, now it is about 4-6 inches above my head! Today i took the highway to work and it was substantially quieter and a lot less calm.

My biggest regret in this purchase was humming and hawing about it so long. I should of bought this as soon as i seen it!

The two improvements that i would suggest are a more adjustable tilt and as it is quite flexible compared to stock, some type of adjustment on the sides where it is angled back.
