I have a '17 SRL with the Polaris head unit and speaker pods. I want to add to it. Is it possible to keep the head unit and add in the amp, another pair of speakers, and a sub, or will I have to get a new head unit? I don't know stereo stuff. From what I've been told, I'll need a 5-channel amp to run all the speakers, and I'm ok with that, but I'm not clear on how to get the signal from the head unit to the amp. Has anyone done this?

Hey @Tech_Rick, been missing your tales. What do you do overseas for a year at a time? (not trying to breach security, I'm just curious/nosy).
I started another one a while back, but haven't finished it yet. Got too busy with other stuff. I do construction security (government contractor).

Probably going back over-seas for a year. Looks like my Slingshot will have to go into foster care while I'm gone.

Just been working a lot. I put the slingshot in storage for the winter and have been focusing on work more than anything else. Haven't been on social media much.

It's a really easy install. And I discovered that the stock plastic grill is easy to reinstall behind the teeth. To install the grill, you line up the 4 tabs on the Slingshot with the slots on the grill, pull the grill onto the tabs, and then slide it towards the passenger side to lock it in. Then 2 screws hold it in place to keep it from sliding back off. The problem is that when you sandwich the two grills together, they are double the thickness so only the aluminum teeth grill will slide into the install tabs properly. So I needed to extend the 4 slots in the plastic grill by about 2 1/2" each, so they'd clear the install tabs. Then I had to replace the stock screws (#10 x 3/4" machine screws) with longer screws to account for the double thickness. ( I used stainless steel #10 x 1" machine screws from Lowe's).
I like the idea of the stock grill still being in place to prevent debris from impacting the radiator.

No, Yes, Yes, No. There is a thread that @rabtech posted up a couple months ago, back then we were talking about Litecoin @$40 a coin, things have sure changed since then
That's weird. I did a search for "bitcoin" on the forum and came up empty.

Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Ripple? If you have any of these, you've been making a KILLING lately.

If it was running, why did you leave it. You could still be riding while you are waiting on the parts. Recall does not take 3 + weeks for anything. Something wrong somewhere.
It was running, but I had to leave it for it to be repaired. I needed to have the RFI filter (under the tail fin - the power for the tail fin brake lights run through it to reduce radio interference) replaced because the module was bad.

Petersburg, WV. Yes, I think we stopped there.
Ok. Coleman's is already replacing my RFI filter. Hopefully they'll get the other things worked out with no more parts being needed. I'll go out to the new place on future issues, if any.

I drove it over and then Uber'ed back. Where do you go for warranty work? The dealership where we all stopped that time?

I'm sitting in the center turning lane waiting to turn left (no light). There's a constant stream of opposing traffic coming towards me, so I have to wait for a gap in the traffic to safely cross the opposing lanes.
Finally, I see it up ahead: a gap in the opposing traffic big enough for me to get through! It's coming towards me.... get ready to go...... get ready to go......
AWWW! SHIIIT!!! You SON OF A By&5$! M%*&#! CO%*#@!!!
The last car in the group ahead of the gap SLOWS DOWN!!! This basically allows the gap to close up as the cars at the far side of the gap catch up with the guy who's slowing down for NO FRIKKIN" REASON!!
I hate that.

My Slingshot is in the shop right now. Several small warranty issues, but I expect it to be there for 2-3 weeks at a minimum. If I get it back by then, I may be able to go, but I'm not counting on it.

If anyone needs me to dig up the install pictures just let me know. I'll be glad to make a thread on changing over to the mechanical switch.
I'm getting the ESP light constantly on. Do you know the part number for the NAPA mechanical switch? was a DIY tread ever done for this?

Ok, I understand. We'll see eventually what was what, I suppose. Here's one source of the claim.
It says that the claim came from an "FBI source". I'm skeptical of this article now, because it also says that the gunman was taken out by police. However, I have seen the photo of the gunman's dead body and it clearly looks like he died from a gunshot wound inside his mouth and up through his head which would back up the original report that he committed suicide. I doubt the police would have shot him through the mouth.
Also there are photos of the weapons used and they show that at least one weapon was equipped with a legal bump-fire device - it was not a fully automatic weapon as first reported.
Will continue to follow with interest.

Actually it has 4 wheels.
Yeah, I noticed that. That's why I put the 3 in quotation marks in the title. It looks like they meant it to have trike styling while actually having 4 wheels.
