    Gasoline seems to get a little more ethanol added in the summer. As far as tankers being marked, I have seen a few marathon stations that are unloading fuel without markings on the truck or trailer

  • Whine/Squeak while accelerating

    Have searched the forum and cannot find info anywhere. While accelerating in 1st and 2nd gear there is a loud whine or squeak coming from the rear end. Easiest way to explain I️t is a constant belt squeak. I️ did not notice I️t but at first. My wife texted me and told me that my slingshot sounded sick... not real sure where to start. The great dealer told me I️t would be a few weeks before I️ can get in to get I️t looked at and also to have warranty work done.


    The noise is kinda one of those embarrassing ones. Any thought or ideas.

  • Fast Orange Bites The Dust

    Wildlife is one of my biggest fears in the slingshot. My second day owning it I almost hit a doe. Saw the buck and then realized that it was the rut and slammed on the brakes.


    I live 20 mins outside of the city.


    I feel for y'all that deal with wildlife on a daily.

    What type of wood was or is the wooden pieces? Let me know because I have some connections in the wood world.


    I have some quarter sawn white oak in the garage that I would be willing to donate as long as you kept it semi stock.



    I would have loved to have one of my grandfathers old cars. They were long gone before he passed. I only wanted his grandfather clock but it was already SOLD. Kinda bs I know. But I would be more than happy to donate to help someone else's dream.

    You are right, I am in the car business also.... Why do people expect the same fuel economy out of a truck that they would any sedan. It all has to do with the rules that obama put in place for the EPA... look at Volkswagen, they fooled the system for a while.


    As far as a 3/4 ton and up truck they have less rules on emissions. That is why some of them do not have fuel economy on the factory window sticker. The Raptor is what it is, a badass truck that has the performance capability to do just about what ever you want to.


    How does the new Raptor compare to the older ones with the 6.2L? That is what I have been wanting to find out.

    Most vehicles have at least one plug that is hot even when the vehicle is off. Both of mine are the ones in the center console. I am going to assume that you checked them all. My GMC Sierra had one in the console and the one on the back of the console was hot also.

    My family is from the south.(I am from Indiana) I have been told that I was racist because I own a confederate flag. The flag has meaning other than racism. The other customer is ignorant. Don't let it bother you. And there is no reason to change your sticker.


    Just remember it is a symbol of heritage not hatred. Yes some groups used it as a symbol of hatred but that doesn't mean that everyone from the south has that hatred.


    There is too much censorship going on in this country. People are trying to erase the bad parts or parts they don't like from history. Look at all that has changed with the statues being removed. History is just that, history. All we can do as a whole is to try not to let history repeat itself.
