Well, it was bound to happen. I took my seats in along with the rest of the Sling today for the seat recall. They told me mine were bad and pulled both seats out. They told me I was free to leave and I asked how I was supposed to drive home without them. They said it was not their problem. I asked if this had anything to do with Bigdog. They assured me it did not. When I asked when I could get my seats back they said Glomuary the Umpteenth. I think that this is proof enough that something bad is definitely happening. Hold on, someone is knocking at my door...
    Sorry, it's past my bedtime!

I’m going to put together a full video montage of the weekend’s festivities ~> but just wanted to take a minute and give a quick shout out to @SlingLow for the awesome backplate he donated. @sideslinger won it during the raffle and it’s going to make a great addition on our sling! This thing is FREAKIN’ AWESOME ~> well done and thank you!! <3

How cool! If you can't be the lucky one you can marry her. That's what I did! I really wish I was close enough to the action to make these events and meet y'all but it's a bit of a black hole out here in Washington - Slingshot and gov't-wise anyway. Hope everyone enjoys the event and I'm looking forward to the videos and pics. The bridge shot and setup looks awesome. Nice opportunity for the attendees to see what we're all about and don't forget to submit your pics to '2018SlingshotCalendar.WaitThat'sNotMe'.

@Trooper, I've got the Slingmods puller and I'll gladly send it to you. I gave up on removing my stock wheel and bought it. After I broke it and they agreed to replace it, I watched the video and figured out I used it upside down. The picture on the ad showed it with the U facing outward. I tried it that way and separated the welded nut from the unit. The video shows it facing inward. When I got the replacement and tried to install it that way, the screws were too short to thread, and I had to dig in the garage for longer screws that would work. They were not exactly the right thread so I'll send you the unit with the supplied screws and you can go from there. It seems like if the screws were too short, people would have complained and they would use longer ones. Maybe most wheels come off easier than mine did. Message me with your address and I'll get it right out.

As for the rest of this thread, My God People! What, or who, are you smoking???

For me, habit and routine solves the issue. As a matter of practice, I remove the nozzle then replace the cap before placing the nozzle back in the pump cradle. Keeping this order in my routine will hopefully prevent me from forgetting the cap. I started out placing the cap on the driver's seat which also worked but now I keep it close so the order of my routine becomes more important.

At bid of $14,000, reserve not met, would be my guess that it will go up another $1000 before it is met. At that number, with the 10% buyer's premium, would be $16,500. For a Slingshot that still needs the title, is an early 2016 model (red and black seats) with nearly 10,000 miles on it. A person around here can buy that all day long any day from a one owner and likely get one with some extras. Knowing what you paid for the one Phil found and brought out, makes it look like you stole it doesn't it? Yours was one of the better deals I've seen. For what they want for this one, there are many options.

Well, I didn't steal it - you can go to jail for that you know? But I did get a deal I don't think I could repeat. I don't have any problem with a low mileage, one owner machine which my 1st one was, but 9,000+ undocumented miles doesn't quite fit the description. Like a foreclosure house, I also wonder about the circumstances of 'losing' such an asset. It seems that there could be some extenuating circumstances leading to such a seizure. As you said, there are many other better options.
