Thanks guys! It's actually today so mytoy was not late.

I was born in '60, I turn 60 today so I guess there's just one thing to do - go out and drive 90.

No real plans with all that's going on. Put up a little siding, spread some insecticide to keep the moles out of the yard, and get some takeout for dinner. Oh yeah, and get a little rip in the Sling!

    Life is good...

So far since last years Sundre sling feast added headers with rear exhaust , had my PCM tuned by Kyle , added the pedal commander as well these few additions have made a difference for sure as well I have changed out my pin striping and added grill fillers from Karate Steel and painted a number of parts to match the new pin striping. What about you Doug any modifications ??

Very nice Jim! Looking forward to seeing the new look. I haven't done much to the Sling this year since I took what could have been mod money and bought another ride. However, earlier this week I did finally install the pedal commander that I got in the group buy here. I just made one trip across town and back and it didn't make me any faster at all. It's normally about a 40 minute drive and it took me over an hour and a half.;)

I don't know what this summer will bring but I hope to make my way back up north and hang with you guys someday soon. Cheers!

Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes.

A little update, I just talked to Barbie and she is full coherent and has a slurred speech (not so bad), they gave her a lot of meds to dissolve her blood clot.

Thanks again it means a lot to us

Dieter, all the best from me to your bride and you. I've been through this personally and from what you are saying I believe she is in the best possible position for full, or near full recovery. Having got the meds in the timeline she did should make a world of difference. Give her some time and lots of love and let her brain work it's magic. Peace brother!

And we'll meet 'em all at the Gates to Hell.

    FunCycle will lead!

I'll tell you the story after I put another log on the fire.

And a little Crown in the mug. Cheers!

    Thanks again all!

CHIEFP welcome to the forum and the world of Slingshot ownership. I just responded to your post on another forum asking about orange madness bling, but I spend most of my time here at Slingshotinfo.com. The members here are awesome and really step up to help anyone in need. Enjoy your ride!

I have been fortunate enough to have not needed unemployment, but my wife works in a Casino as a dealer and they have completely closed until at least May 31 - as such we did need to sign her up - this is why I am familiar with the option to have tax withheld

It's a tough choice to make, especially in a single-earner household. You know you should withhold but if you do, either you can't eat or you can't keep the lights on. Most people receiving unemployment need the whole check just to survive.

I dont know how other states do it, but here in California they give you the option of having federal tax taken out.

Honestly I haven't been in that system since probably the 1980s. I guess it might have changed in 30 or 40 years. I just know that I still hear my brother the tax man refer to what he calls 'The Unemployment Ass-Stomp', meaning the tax bill at the end of the year.

I've never understood our unemployment system. They give you just below subsistence level income, withhold nothing, then tax you on it at the federal level. How are you supposed to pay those taxes when you're unemployed? All employers are required to withhold earnings for state and federal taxes. This should be the model for all government payments as well. If it is taxable income, taxes should be withheld upfront.

Edward Neal an opinion expressed with respect is received with respect. Nothing I said was directed at you and your opinion is valued. It's common for people to complain that our athletes and entertainers are paid so much, but this is based on the economic model of each industry. They would not be paid so much if millions of people didn't buy tickets to watch them. It's called entertainment, and while it may not seem productive to many, it is obviously an important part of our SOCIAL lives. And as a final thought. I GUARANTEE you that if you had succeeded in life as a premier athlete or entertainer your opinion would be much different.

You know Ed, you and I have started many goofy threads about this or that or the other thing, and the difference between those threads and the ones numbnuts puts up is that ours are light-hearted and fun. His are specifically to get negative reactions and he is very successful at it. I've played along and now I'm done. He can waste yours and anyone else's time but not mine.

Thank you for your post but no apology is necessary.

What Dickless doesn't know is that my mother raised my brother and myself as a health and physical education professor after my father's death when we were 12 and 13 years old. She coached SPORTS and SPORTS put the food on my table, bought us our musical instruments, and kept the standard of living we enjoyed when my father was alive. She became Chairman of the Athletic Department and later Athletic Director. She had a long and distinguished career in SPORTS and even presented to the Olympic Congress in Seoul, Korea.

And now this cocksucker is going to tell me sports are meaningless and to get a life???? He's telling me my mother's 40 year career meant nothing because she chased balls instead of bad guys???? Bigdog I am small of stature but you better be glad you're across the country 'cause I'd come look you up to continue this conversation. Piss off!

when your top priority is watching sports constantly....you need to get a life...It’s a meaningless game....nothing more...doesn’t matter who wins or loses...

I certainly hope peoples priorities change when this is over.....

they are going to have to pay All first responders A lot more money Just out of respect....

Some clown chasing a ball is worth millions and people saving lives is worth thousands? only in America....

Alright ass wipe don't ever make presumptions about my priorities or my life. Any comparison of mine to yours will make you look like a mindless troll in your mommy's basement. And don't worry about what my priorities are because they are MINE! If I want to watch sports or moles dig in my yard that's what I'll do, and the fact that you feel compelled to rate anything as meaningless means absolutely nothing to me or anyone else here. Please accept my heartfelt FUCK YOU and don't ever address me again. You're dead to me.

rabtech how about limiting users to no more than 4,000 meaningless, mean-spirited threads per user per lifetime. This guy's gotta be there by now...

Time for a break until Slingshots are once again the topic of discussion. This forum has gotten too political for my tastes. I'm just a Slingshot guy. Cheers to all the rest of you - you brighten my day! Give me a shout out if you want to talk Slings.

frankly I couldn't care less if professional sports never came back - - if nothing else is learned from this the one thing that should be learned is that we are paying the wrong way too much. Instead of making multimillionaires out of people for playing games we should be giving that money the first responders across the board for what they do every single day

underpaying first responders and overpaying athletes? - - our priorities need to be rethought

Sorry Ed but demand determines supply, not the other way around. Your thought is noble but No one will buy a ticket to watch cops or ambulance drivers. However people will pay for entertainment. Are you saying that after 100 years of professional sports and 10 weeks of *fill in the blank flu" we should end professional sports? I'm sorry, get off your soap box already.

You know what's funny is that I won a $25 gift card from Slingshot Only last summer at Slingfest and I still haven't spent it. There's one carbon fiber piece for the mirror that I want and it's shown out of stock for about 9 months now. Must be supply chain problems from this virus thing...

If you are getting Social Security don't they already have all your bank info? From what I understand effective in 2013 they require all social security payments to be electronic.

To me it seems the best protection would be to set up an account at one bank that is only used to receive direct deposits - Social Security, Stimulus, Tax Refunds - - and any others, and then have a second main account preferably at a different bank that you use for everything else. Then just move the money that is deposited in the direct deposit account as soon as it comes in to the main account only leaving enough behind to keep the account open - - - this way there is virtually nothing for them to take out

Interesting theory but ALL accounts are attached to a social security number. If they find one, they find them all. Face it, if the scammers can hack your account, the US govt can.
