As an interesting side note my local city council voted last week that only vaccinated people or those who could show a negative covid test in the last 72 hours would be allowed to dine indoors at restaurants or bars. Frankly i don’t mind this at all. Vaccine passports? California started issuing optional digital vaccine records some time back. Seriously if you have been vaccinated your state has a record of it so by letting the people have access to a digital record of it for their phone they are only offering me an easier way to access that info if I need it. It’s not like the government is getting information they don’t already have

I agree that most people would never want to pass the virus to someone else, unfortunately I do think there are a huge number of people that never even bother to think beyond what they believe is their “right” the same people that get in fights on airplanes thinking they have some “right” not to where a mask, the same morons that think they have “rights” when they enter a private business. I don’t think these people want to hurt others I just think they don’t even think about others.

I think our “rights” are extremely important, but I also think that how we choose to exercise them comes with responsibility. I mean how can I morally demand my right to do something knowing that in doing so I could potentially cause harm to others? Rights without responsibility isn’t freedom, it’s adolescence

The polio vaccine was made over 65 years ago. Calculations and tests that took days and weeks back the. Can be done in micro seconds now. Heck the scientists back then didn’t even have computers, I don’t think the time line to make traditional vaccines that had to grow actual virus cells in eggs in the 50’s can be compared to what they can do today with mnra technology that was used for the Phizer vaccine that does not even use or need to grow actual virus. As a side note even when the polio vaccine was still new and not proven every kid I knew was vaccinated by their parents

Made in China virus vs a made in the U.S.A vaccine? That was an easy choice for me. I suspect if it had not been politicized most people would feel the same. Frankly I think it’s kind of sad that people would let politics influence a decision like choosing whether or not to get vaccinated

When the safe was full I dropped out of the Gun of the Month Club but think it is time for a second safe.

Was out on Route 66 this afternoon and almost ran over a group of Democrats just standing in the middle of the road

So this begs the question, are the unvaccinated people giving this virus a place to mutate that eventually make the vaccine useless against the mutation? Was reading last night a prediction that due to all of the unvaccinated people this could happen and result with a “doomsday” mutation that would be impossible to stop. Personally I must say I still find it fascinating that some people would rather take their chances with a made in China virus instead of trusting an American made vaccine

Just did a search to find out. Apparently lake havasu serves as a “balancing” reservoir for the water released by lake mead and lake Powell to supply because of this havasu,s water level never varies by more than about 5 feet

I know lake mead which is further up the Colorado river is way down from normal, but from what I can tell Havasu seems about the same as it was when we were last here in 2017

11:21 AM
111 Degrees
12% humidity
29.83 inHg
quiz time - - whats the wet bulb temp
Just kidding, we are under an extreme heat warning today and tomorrow - might make it to 120, but starting Friday we should cool off
Am I the only one who laughed today when they heard that USA women's soccer had been eliminated from gold medal contention??
and
Am I the only one that will laugh their ass off if they lose in the bronze medal match??
I just don't see any reason why I as an American should feel any loyalty to a sports team at the olympics that does not represent my country - and just because it says USA on their uniforms is not enough
I ran across this article which really explains heat - dry & wet - in the human body - thought y’all may find it interesting…
very insightful read - - just found a wet build temp calculator and input out current conditions 100 degrees, 10% humidity and 30.07 pressure - - - seems that this equals a wet bulb temp of around 64 degrees - - - not bad even if I bump the temp to 120 its still under 75
