    a hans device is less likely to save your life - every single time you go out in public near other people you risk exposure to these things - - far more often than you ride I would suspect

    seriously - you are more than 10 times more likely to die from the flu or pneumonia


    so have you had your Pneumonia shots and do you get your flu shot each year? clearly you need these much more than you need a hans device

    I bought my slingshot for the freedom and openness - every single optional safety device, be it seat belts, 4/5 point harnesses, 1/2 helmets 3/4 helmets, full helmets or hans devices, all of them reduce that freedom a bit, the more safety coverage the less freedom & openness


    how much of that freedom & openness you want to give up so that you can feel safer is a matter of your choice and perhaps local laws.


    I try to keep the openness and freedom to the maximum amount I can as such I use the lightest and smallest 1/2 helmet I can find I do this because the law requires a helmet, On the other hand I do not use the factory seatbelt/shoulder harness, In California under the mandatory seatbelt law they specifically exempted motorcycles so legally I do not have to wear a seatbelt, but I do have a lap belt I installed that uses the factory buckle - I do use this and I wear it by choice to keep me from being ejected, God willing.


    These are the choices I have made and I am comfortable with them - -


    all of you, my friends, can and will make your own choices and whatever you choose, I will respect. It is not my place or for that matter anyone else's place to make these decisions for you


    As a side note I must add that if I do see you riding around town in your Slingshot wearing a hans device please forgive me if start laughing - - - sorry 8o

    Not a sling I recognize, but it does look to have several nice mods - if you look close there is a DDMWorks logo on the pod under the drivers roll hoop and the Metricks splitter fins on the lower back of the tub - - wouldnt be the least bit surprised if the driver were a member here

    Interesting - I have had nothing but problems with Apple cables and these days I only buy Anker Power line II cables they say they are the most durable cables made and the ones I have seem much more reliable at maintaining a good connection than any other cables we have tried - - I also love that they come in colors - keeps others from grabbing the wrong cable thinking its theirs and I have red to go with my slingshot - - Anker Powerline II

This was in Grundy County (Tennessee vs Rainwater) He is confident that these will continue to be dismissed. According to him law 308 excluding autocycles, supersedes 302b. This along with the seat belt, sitting in a seat and not straddling like a bike. He also stated that this is fully enclosed by definition.     Here in California "fully enclosed" three wheel motorcycles that are within some specific dimensions which the slingshot is within are exempt from the helmet requirement - unfortunately what "fully enclosed" is is not defined and is left to the judge to decide - I personally know a guy got a helmet slingshot ticked dismissed by showing a picture of his slingshot with his homemade canvas top they is very much like twist or bullet speed top


    unfortunately he had to take off work to go to court two different days, first to enter a plea and second for a hearing where the police officer could be there


    to me this is not worth it - my time and income lost to go fight a helmet ticket is worth more than just paying the ticket and in the end it is just easier to where the 1/2 helmet

I 'll just need to keep an eye on what happens to the wholesale market in case we have anymore serious market fluctuations that will force me back to a fixed price plan. I do miss my older provider, who offered pricing closer to 7-8 cents per kwh, but it looks like those times are gone now. Time will tell how my wholesale market experiment goes.

    those are numbers I could only dream about. Last month, July, our house used 2,283 kWh of power and had we not installed solar in 2016 we would have been looking at a bill of close to a thousand dollars. And this is for a 1,650 sq foot home


    fortunately for the same month our 59 solar panels generated 2,694 kWh of power, and with it being the last month of our billing year with Edison they ended up sending us a check for $65 - - our only regular monthly bill is usually around 5$ to 10$ for taxes and the privileged of being connected to their grid
