I been ridin a LONG time and always believed it didn’t matter what you rode — having the wind in your face was the common thread that bonded us together. I know back in the day a lot of Harley riders were kinda snobbish and the newer ones even worse. I try to wave at every 2 wheel rider I come across - it seems that when I wave at bikes they wave back way less than they used to - so I’ll keep waving and if they don’t - screw em - that’s on them !!

yep, I even wave at pedestrians at intersections if they look my way - - - one of the things I love about being out in my Sling is that it puts me out there among everyone else around me - - gives me an opportunity to try to live with love toward everyone around me gives me a chance to try to live the way I truly believe my God wants us all to live.

"And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them."

Back when I was riding a GW I could meet other bikes & get a wave "unless" I met a Harley 99% of the time nothing, one day I was following a group of Harleys (not riding with them) & we met some other Harleys & they waved at all the Harley guys, but not the GW...I found it very funny.

its actually rather funny, around here the Harley people are the most reliable at waving at me in my Slingshot, even the hard core bikers who come to Palm Springs from out of town for big meetup's all wave when we pass - - the ones that dont wave are the younger riders on their rice burners.

In my opinion nothing shows off the superior physical abilities than NBA players. The speed, quickness and power combined with their size always amazes me. Seems like they have learned their lesson to stay out of politics so I’ve began to watch again - always loved the game. Went to college with Joe Dumars. Was able to play a pickup game with him. That’s when I figured out that he has so much more God given talent than I did it was time for me to just stay in the stands :00008172:

meh - not something that impresses me, sure they might have amazing physical abilities, but having them and then choosing to use them to play a game for money does not impress me, would be much more impressed by a young person with superior physical abilities that chose to use those abilities by serving their country. Still really makes me wonder about the values we have as a country when people who bounce a ball and throw it through a hoop make more money than a person who saves lives or protects us - - - but hey, thats just my view and clearly many many others dont seem to see things the same way - - - - oh well :/

Damn Edward Neal something else that we agree on. NO STICK AND BALL!

only sporting event I have been to in years was to see a local minor league baseball team, the Palm Springs Power, play - these were young kids not even being paid to play hoping to make it big - but that was on dollar beer nights back before I quit drinking - so it was probably as much about hanging with friends and drinking as it was about baseball - - - I just dont get any enjoyment from watching over paid thugs playing games when you know they would most likely be on the streets causing trouble if were not for their sport

Clark is a formidable female player but what would you rather see - Clark shooting 3 pointers just over the 3 point line (Steph Curry makes them regular from 15 feet further out) or a guy jumping higher than three defenders doing a windmill dunk nearly tearing the goal down. When women can do that - sign me up for season tickets :00008172:

frankly I wouldn't pay to see either, but thats just me, never been big on watching sports - the exception being boxing, other than that would rather be out doing something instead of watching others do something

Last year's No. 1 NBA draft pick secured a $55 million four-year contract, while Caitlin Clark will pocket $338,056 over the same period under her contract with the WNBA Indiana Fever.

    What the heck!!!

well, how doe the game attendance and related revenue coming in compare between the NBA and the WNBA? Also this is base pay, there is also whatever sponsorship income they can sign up for - - but in the end we are comparing things that are not equal in the money they produce as businesses and when one business, the NBA, generates 100's of times more revenue it is reasonable to expect the participants to get a much larger cut of that revenue.

As a side note, this is not the first thing I have seen on this trying to make it seem unfair that these totally unequal sources of revenue do not pay their players equally yet the one person I have not heard make a single complaint is Caitlin Clark - - she seems to be out and about with a huge grin on her face every time I see her very happy about being able to do what she loves.

Also perhaps Caitlin will be the catalyst woman basketball needs to start bringing up the income generated to levels where pay can be made more equal

For me it would come down to one question - - if I got it and didnt love it could I flip it without taking a loss?

if its something thats questionable where you have doubts and you know you wont have to take a financial hit then give it a try,

Blade Headquarters is a company I have dealt with in the past and almost always has the cheapest place I can find - and will price match if you call.

well, as I said, I have already exceeded my knife budget at this point and as much as I think this knife would make a great collectable, I'm still happy with where I am at the moment - besides that I still have a few little mods coming for a couple of my knives to keep my little mind occupied for now. add to that the fact the PM2 I just got uses the same CPM s90V steel and CF scales dont really thrill me so nothing I really need at this time

For anyone interested - here is a link to an incredible deal- its part of a 24 hour sale and this particular knife has an CPM s90v steel blade and carbon fiber scales - its what Spyderco calls a sprint run which means its a limited special edition of the knife - normal price is around $350, but for a few hours you can get it here for more than 1/2 off

if I hadn't already exceeded my knife budget for a long time I would be all over this deal

sounds like your having fun - - - can't ask for more than that can ya :D

Personally I never saw much point in making changes to the stock stereo that came in my slingshot - seriously with my double bubble windshields and the airflow I get I cant even hear the stereo except at very low speed or at a stop - - especially when I wear my winter 3/4 helmet - - considering that in CA a helmet is required I would probably be better off putting the sound right into the helmet or headphones with my regular 1/2 helmet.

But please dont take this as criticism one of the things I love most about the Slingshot is that we all get to do whatever we want to make it our own

my little collection of California legal Kershaw automatics - blade less than 2 inch and they fit really great in that 5th pocket where its completely out of the way 8o

That was my point, although I may not have said it correctly... The rancher or farmer does make a profit, but not as much as others along the chain do. As for regulation, sure that could help, but it does not seem to have ever helped in reducing the price from what it is to what it was.

Prices were a bit more steady during the last Donald run (inflation around 2%) , but they did not go down. Example: price per pound of regular beef from farm to retail in 2014 (Obummer) was about .35 cents farm to 4.45$ retail.., 2018 (the Donald) about .70 cents farm 5.75$ retail and in 2023 (Grandpa) about.72 cents farm to 6.93$ retail... The retail at the butcher shop is much higher in all those examples.. and will never go back to the 2014 level even is regulation is relaxed.

This thought is why I said that no matter who wins, prices will not go down..

yep - I don't think prices ever truly go down, might be a temporary drop, but it never lasts

I already bought some new scales for mine - I really like the G-10 handle that comes with it but thought I would customize it just a bit - once I finish it I will post a pic

I look forward to seeing your new toy. Like you I also enjoy doing a bit of customization from time to time. Put aluminum scales on my Benchmade Griptilian and just put this deep carry clip on my Para 3 - - carries much lower in the pocket than the stock clip, in fact I already received a flytanium deep carry clip to put on the new paramilitary 2 when it gets here.

here is the para 3 with the Lynch deep carry clip

I really like the way its designed specifically for this knife and doesn't block the lanyard hole like most do

I have a feeling I will be doing business again with Lynch in the future - https://www.lynchnw.com
