I don't know you could make a pair of those life size cardboard cut outs and leave food on the table for them.....oh and leave a light on!
You could also do a cardboard cut out of yourself and Colette could take that to the wedding with her!

I did it the easy way and bought shorter bolts for the puller (saved a lot a cussin). Worked like a charm then even though it was real tight. And when I put it back on I tightened the nut till it just touched the steering wheel. Steers like a dream now. If you tighten it to much I think it pinches a c clip or something and makes it hard to steer. Unfortunately replacement of the clock spring did not fix that other problem so I will have to take it apart again to see why the right blinker keeps shutting off before I even make the turn. If I turn the right blinker on and turn the wheel just a little to the left it shuts off the blinker.
Mine does that too... always has though.
@D.W.Slusher - Your avatar reminded me of something that happened yesterday.
3rd Party: (Introduces me to Assessor for an inspection) This is Chief Prewitt.
Assessor (Retired Marine): Are you an Air Force Chief or are you a real Chief?
Me (In civilian clothes): I'm a real Chief!
Assessor: Good! So you are Navy?
Me: Yes Sir, I'm a Navy Chief!
Assessor: Outstanding!
I love giving my Air Force folks a hard time! It's even better when a retired Marine get's involved!!
LoL @TheRock this is only because about a month ago I had guy on another forum with the same issue.
Just bustin' your chops, Brother!
I was going to recommend checking that...glad you got it figured out
Sure you were!
Will find out my travel schedule for the next couple months on Monday. If I'm CONUS I'll post.
EDIT: Aidan plays the Dodgers that day and is his next to last game of the little league season. I'm a no show now
Right now, it looks like Velma and I are going to have to take a pass on this event. We just found out we are going to be having family flying in from Hawaii for that weekend. I think it would be in bad taste if there was no one here when they arrived. Hmmm, there’s always Uber!!!!!
If you trust me!! Would love a passenger!
Absolutely, your driving skills are on par!! Why do you think I didn’t want to go in front of you for our ride in Clarksville? I was behind you takin’ notes!!
We are planning to get a hotel room closer by just to make it a true weekend getaway. I can call and see about a group rate once I know how many folks would be interested in that. Right now, I'm looking at the Holiday Inn Express in Harrisonburg.
Also, if I bring my little one, she is 9, would anybody have an open seat for her to ride with?
@adventure4me @Andy Hatch @av8ingtom @Jdin @lrobbi @V-SHOT @WraithSS
Are you all planning to do this still, even though we moved it from PoO?
Crap. I did not see that. Oh well
Did you already order?
@SlingRider @soluga if you are planning on getting @lrobbi light wiring covers, he has a discount on them for the next few days... just in case you didn't see it!
Headlight wiring Cover SPECIAL COUPON - 8% off Coupon code: R-ShotCover8 4/25 - 4/30.
Did somebody call @MiM?
Okeeedoookeee... Question. Does leaving a review using your own personal profile (not a post) constitute a lasting review on Facebook??
OHHHH @ericastar76!!! If you are looking to do some justice... Bill & Glenn’s Tire and Auto these folks deserve some of that!!!
here is the tire set I was referring to. . . . . if anyone is interested.
I believe there have been quite a few forum members to get their wheels from these guys. So far I haven't heard any horror stories, so that's usually a good thing. Those are a good looking set of wheels. The tires on the rims in the picture are Delinte. ( Delinte Tires ) I've never heard of them, but they may still be decent tires. I'd give'em a ring and have some discussion with them, but I'd think you'd be good with those... at least I can't see any reason why not! Happy hunting!!
I don’t mean literally rape his sheep, I meant it figuratively... you know, like @MiM‘s “can you pass the salt!”
OK!! All great ideas above but this is the skinny. The first step is small claims court and secure a judgement. That done it puts no money in your pocket plus you are out filing fees and court costs. NOW - gettin paid!! It varies on your state laws how to collect. You need to find out what you can about who you are suing. If your state is a garnishment state you can file paperwork to have the judge decide how much to take out of each check to satisfy the judgement. Find out if they have been on the job long because they will quit when the first garnishment kicks in and then you have to find them and start all over again. Check the Real Property records and see what property they own and file paperwork to attach judgement. Won’t get any money until property sells. Think I would start out with a real mean letter - @KayTwo - gimme a call and I’ll help you draft it if you like !! Bottom line small claims court is a real crap shoot as to whether or not you will actually collect some money. BTW - have you thought about threatening him with @sideseatdriver - she is pretty scary
or you can give us an address to his shop and we can burn it down and rape his sheep!
Nah, not in the mood. Plus my wife just turned the shower on....
HEY! You said she was in the garage grabbing her muck boots and pitchfork!!
@sideseatdriver is now out in the garage getting her muck boots and a pitchfork, thanks for that. You better hurry if you want in on the action.
I may already be there!
@EjFord, that's actually pretty funny. Glad it worked out for you.
This isn't non-payment, this is what I believe would be called "theft of services." Or maybe not. Paid a local shop $3600 to "rebuild" the transmission in the car, which included a 3-yr warranty. The transmission is failing now, 3 months later, and he refused to honor the warranty (not that I would trust him at this point). So I'm going to try to get my money back on the grounds that it doesn't appear he did anything except change the fluid and fuck with the shift points a little bit. So, we'll see.
You could take him to small claims court... or you can give us an address to his shop and we can burn it down and rape his sheep! Your call... let us know how you'd like to proceed!
thanks. I appreciate the help
That's a pretty good price... almost too good. If the rims are nice, I'd take a closer look at the rubber they are wrapped in. But it's possible you just discovered a good deal. The second thing to consider, is if these are being marketed to Slingshot owners, you may not be the only one rolling on them. So if you are going for uniqueness, just something to consider.
