I think something like this could probably be pretty easily built and used with the wycked hitch system. I would invert it and make sure it was kicked out from the rear tire a bit, but if you were intent on carrying a spare, I think this would be a good route to go.

@rabtech I understand that you don't want to be tacky. That being said, when a vendor is a member of this forum, with a vendor tag, that means that the forum is endorsing that vendor (to me at least). If the vendor isn't doing a good job, then I say tag them. Screw tackiness, is SlingshotInfo.com about sharing information? I'd also say take it a step further. For nonpaying vendors, tag them as nonpaying vendors, but for vendors who have repeated issues, tag them as a problem child. Even if they are paid up on vendor fees, do not allow them to renew. Maybe another option is to put some type of rating system, (5 star scale or it could be broken down even further into timeliness, customer support after the sale, communication, etc.) this would be were forum members put in their personal rating of the vendors and a display of the average comes up under their avatar. Something should be done to hold the vendors accountable. Some are damn near stealing from forum members or making promises and consistently failing to deliver, and using our beloved forum as the means to do it. This would be as bad as a thief jacking your truck as the getaway vehicle to steal a bunch of stuff from your home.

There is nothing tacky about holding vendors accountable. Happy Birthday!!! ;)

Got all the video encoded @TheRock ~> Just need to put it all together... Unfortunately, it may not be until Sunday before I can get to it. Plan on some garage time tomorrow. Got my sheet metal in and need to plasma cut/weld the housing for the oven heating element.

Here's a screen cap of what's to come...

Just want to make sure you don’t forget, you still have a couple videos to make! :00008356:

I would say I get waves about 20-30% of the time. I never initiate, cuz I don’t see the Sling as a bike. I love my Sling, but I just don’t see it as a bike. I know some people don’t like that, but it’s just the way I see it. From the front it looks like a car, it drives like a car, it has a car motor. The only thing remotely bike about it is that it has a swing arm and is belt driven. That said, I’m not gonna be an asshole and not return a wave if a biker does wave. Also, I guess I have been lucky as far as not having received any comments to the effect of getting a real bike.

Has this Cat come out of the bag yet?
I have been wanting to add a Top but concerned about fumes getting worse. :00007505:

@Pascal, @angie@WP came out and said it was an air deflector. She also said they’d be available within the month, though I don’t think they have been released, unless I just missed that.

What those guys said!! The organized rides suck... they are intended to take you on a quick 40 minute ride and then to get you back to the fairground to spend money at the vendor tents. I like to walk around and see the vendor tents, but I personally would rather get back home, order the mods online and install them myself when I get home. Meet folks there and take rides that go out all day and enjoy the amazing rides, have lunch, dinner and enjoy the company of the most amazing people you will ever meet anywhere, ever!!

Start your own build thread when you start the project, that will be cool to watch!

I'm gonna make mine Flintstone powered. Remove the engine and transmission to reduce some weight, then all you need is a sawzall, cut a rectangular hole in the drivers side floor panel... and voila!! I will also do a build thread for you!! :00008356::00008172:
