Thanks @BKL . I might throw the dice and be the Guinea pig and go for the 45. If it throws codes I can always up the front tires to get back under control.

In an attempt to get more sidewall for hopefully a better ride I want to go with a 45 instead of the factory 35. Here are the specs, think I may be in trouble here.....

    Sidewall Height: 3.51'' 4.52'' 1.01''
    Section Width: 10.04'' 10.04'' 0''
    Tire Height: 27.02'' 29.04'' 2.02''
    Tire Circum: 84.89'' 91.23'' 6.34''
    Rev. / Mile: 746.38 694.51 -51.87

If your speedometer reads 65 mph, you are going about 69.9 mph

So o may have to go with a 40....

    Sidewall Height: 3.51'' 4.02'' 0.51''
    Section Width: 10.04'' 10.04'' 0''
    Tire Height: 27.02'' 28.04'' 1.02''
    Tire Circum: 84.89'' 88.09'' 3.2''
    Rev. / Mile: 746.38 719.26 -27.12

If your speedometer reads 65 mph, you are going about 67.5 mph

    What say the pros?

    Thanks

Yup, my posse was busy doing work (yuk bad word) stuff. No worries went for a really nice ride and scored some pastrys for tomorrow morning. Did get a call from @SlingLow and we are getting together for a ride to Tillamook on Tuesday. Any takers want to ride along?

As a side note just turned 12k and still have the stock rear tire. But going to order a BFGoodrichG-Force Comp 2 A/S 255 /45 R20 pretty soon so I can mount the rear fender.

Need to talk to you or Bryan before you guys head up to BC. I want a set of his headlight covers.

Still going for a Saturday Roakes meeting because it was already posted. However might be able to meet again on Sunday for those that can not make the Saturday meeting. Would like to meet as many as I can, even if it means eating at Roakes twice in one week. 8o:thumbsup::thumbup:

Yup, doing the break down and have little bro pull the sling trailer in and out of OR. Pain in the butt but that is what it is. Adds almost 1600 miles to my 3800 mile trip.

Thinking of a 1 PM lunch Saturday at Roakes for a burger or Coney, bring you calendars so we can plan some rides. I would like to repeat our Detroit Lake ride do your St Helen's ride, and go to the coast as a minimum. I'll also take a bunch of shorter putts.

I'll need to buy a new rear tire soon as mine has almost 12 k on it, another 3 or 4 should finish it off.

@SlingLow and @BryanL you need to find others to go with us, you surely most know other area riders. LB may go on his 6 cyl bike or follow in a car like last time. His wife's back just wont take long rides anymore.

With you two going up to BC you could get a bunch of miles in this summer.

Bill I hope you take this in the right way. Look forward to a new carbon fiber prosthesis, maybe a little flame job on it. Look at the plus side of making your sling lighter and faster. Only positive, no negative. Prayers to you.

The sanctioning body formally know to me as nascar is dead to me as well. Got tired of chasing them all over the damn tube. To many different sponsors as well, can't keep up, is it infinity this week and something else next week. I liked winston cup racing. Brian France is killing the golden goose, beady eyed little shit is selling himself and the sport like a two dollar hooker all over the place. Give me a break, mandated air wrenches now, what's is next leased from nascar haulers. Pure crap now.

Not sure i understand this....the policy is with Progressive or Geico or whomever, not him personally. Just call them and cancel. Don't even have to deal with him.

We had him as an agent for the sling, when we bundled the sling with house and vehicles on another agent he called and got a bit ugly with us. Said we would never find insurance for less than with him. He has fair prices, but his customer service leaves a bit lacking. You might have to call him several times to get what you need done. Just was not for us.

Yes it was a direct hit on the weather station. Still finding pieces in the yard. Finally found the last battery yesterday. Wonder how the charge is in the rechargeable batteries in the flag light is? I have surge protectors on just about everything in the house, standard procedure in oklahoma. The lightning went through the antenna for my atlink wifi then the router on to the TV all in the cat5 cable. The atlink stuff survived but everything else is being replaced. Im looking for cat5 surge protection stuff now. I fear what was posted about lightning jumping any protection is a true statement, but you gotta try. Insurance deduct is to high so it is all on me, there goes more mod money.

I came here from there and have not looked back. I generally join an organization before they know me to well. Afraid that after they know me they won't let me join. In that respect I'm kind of like a boat, two happiest days is when I show up, and when I leave. Don't get to happy, I ain't leaving here for a looooong time.

lol my fear is that I wont get them bent so that both look exactly the same, or it wont function the way it should and after I paint them, I will have to try to bend them more and that will mess up the paint. and of course, what paint do I use? I looked at automotive gloss black because my sling is gloss black. but I don't want to use the spray can because you never get the right finish out of it. it looks like it came from a can and I hate that. I don't want it looking amateur.

    Powder coat them.
