Love the looks of the side pipes. Curious as to how loud they are and if those who have them have internal baffles in them?

I will be in for 1 calendar and a separate tribute to Painter> Awesome that his talents will be shown plus giving him the reconization he truly deserves.

I hope it is as harmless and just windy as some of you think it will be. Having no storm experience, I will believe you veterans. I personally would abandon Florida. I know some reference other storms and lighter inland wind. If the eye is 150miles wide, as wide as Florida, and the hurricane is 450 miles wide, does hitting land really slow it down?
Be safe my extended family, please reconsider "riding it out". Especially with 2 storms on Irmas 6. My parents left Davenport, Florida (almost as inland as possible) this morning to come to Michigan. I'm glad I won't have to worry about them.
Though they have ulterior motives for coming to Michigan now.

Thanks guys, we feel so blessed. We've been together for 19 years and were told, believed and excepted that Lara would never get pregnant. Things change over time apperantly . Mommy and son are doing great @Shatneyman .
Congratulations Matt & Mrs. Wolf.

I'm another owner with a +5 tinted F-4 windshield. The tint isn't a dark tint so I don't find it bothersome wearing sunglasses (prescription) and find that at night it cuts glare from cars headlights while wearing my regular glasses. With the sling a low riding machine you do get a lot of full blast light from cars, not to mention trucks.
My sling is a red 15 year model and I've added a red tinted Baker side wings. -
Now that there's been power upgrades for the stock engines vie turbo's & supper chargers, plus a coupe V-8's and the Honda Sticker Dick has, has anyone considered dropping in a V-6. A Chevy Camaro in stock form can be had with a 335 hp engine.
Seems to me a V-6 would fit fine, have a pretty good horse power to weight ratio, and could be set up with a stock trans or newer multi gear box, even auto trans at affordable costs?
Another question for those who swapped engines? Is traction control on the Slingshot lost or is it retained? -
Better pic. I might add that it really works great. Water proof and big enough for a bunch of tools. Being strapped down with a ratcheting strap it don't move none either.
-
Attached is a pic I took in the garage tonight. I'll try tomorrow to get a better one in day light.

After taking out the stock exhaust I put a small military ammo box strapped to the frame. It holds metric & sae tools plus the usual assortment of screwdrivers & pliers. Small HF multi meter, fuses, etc.

https://www.facebook.com/group…rmalink/1246773298709486/URGENT CALL TO ACTION--The National Park Service Plans to resurface 150 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway with "chip seal" asphalt
Following is the text of an email that was sent to VP Mike Pence, Sens. Burr & Tillis
It refers to a plan to chip seal 150 miles of the Blue Ridge Pkwy. in NC.
This would be an absolutely terrible plan for motorcyclists and the tourism industry in NC.
I could not email the US House members, they won't allow emails if you do not live in their districts.
The districts affected are Dist. 5, 10 and 11.
Dist. 5 is Virginia Foxx, Dist. 10 is Patrick McHenry, Dist. 11 is Mark Meadows.
You can get to their info at:

Nice find. I'll be getting a couple of those.

It seems to me that removing the two noted brackets would remove a lot of the supporting area for the side wings. So all you have left is two fiberglass panels with a couple of bolts, does not seem like a lot of strength. @Rando, @Carbon_One, @kyslingshot care to comment?
I put my side panels on sometime early in 2015. After removing the two brackets I think I bent that front support up & under the panels. My mind is a bit foggy on this since it's been a while. I could take one off to verify if requested.
Regardless there's never been any kind of a problem since day one of the install. -
We have both the soft top and shorter side panels. Love them a lot as the shorter panels make it much easier getting in & out. Got top from Twisted and panels from cyclesprings when they were first on the market.
Agree with kyslingshot on paint match. You really can't hardly tell there's a difference. -
Just going to throw our name in the hat here.....
Cold Air Intake, "Street" for Polaris Slinghot by DDMWorks
what am I missing here other than price between the two?
Never mind it helps to read thru the descriptions. Duh? -
I hope everything is ok for you guys @Carbon_One and it's just a personal choice.
yea we're good here. Just getting our ducks together is all. Decisions on vacations and affordability of such to be made.

Thank you for the info @Carbon_One. Are you and the miss's ready for SSITS? I first thought your thread was about BRP the powersport company.
It's not looking good for us attending this year.
