I forgot to mention that I didn't like the stiffness at first and almost took mine out, too. Love mine now. Wouldn't want to go back.
IIRC, I think I read about someone installing the top aluminum plate/block upside down and negatively affecting shift operations. Just can't remember where.

Lithium grease is usually considered safe for most plastics, but as long as the grease you used is safe for plastic, the grease shouldn't be causing any problems. Make sure your bolts are properly tightened. Over-tightening the bolts can cause stiffness when shifting. Hopefully @Dave@DDMWorks can add more.

Just a story, not a joke, but it was too good to not forward! Got this in an email from a former co-worker -

    A man with no enemies.

    Meet Walter Barnes
All golfers should live so long as to become this kind of old man!

Toward the end of the Sunday service, the Minister asked, "How many of you have forgiven your enemies?"

80% held up their hands. The Minister then repeated his question. All responded this time, except one man, Walter Barnes.

"Mr. Barnes, are you not willing to forgive your enemies?"

"I don't have any," he replied gruffly.

"Mr. Barnes, that is very unusual. How old are you?"

"Ninety-eight," he replied The congregation stood up and clapped their hands.

"Oh, Mr. Barnes, would you please come down in front and tell us all how a person can live ninety-eight years and not have an enemy in the world?"

The old golfer tottered down the aisle, stopped in front of the pulpit, turned around, faced the congregation, and said simply, "I outlived all them assholes."
Then he calmly returned to his seat.

I thought that Texans did things BIG !....

A lot of Texans like to claim they do things BIG down here, yet you see a large number of pickup trucks and 4-wheelers that never haul anything other than a picnic to the beach or football game. Of course, Texans also brag about not having an income tax, but the sales and property taxes seem to more than make up for the lack of an income tax.

The write ups on it mention that it would most likely be licensed as a motorcycle or autocar as in Texas and a few other stayed now classify the SS

More than a few. According to the Polaris website, Hawaii still hasn't figured out what the Slingshot is. 10 States class the Slingshot as a motorcycle and require a Motorcycle license/endorsement (AK, AR, FL, ME, MA, MS, MT, NE, NY & WI). The rest require a driver's license. Most of those states call the Slingshot an Autocycle with several calling it a motorcycle/trike/three-wheeled vehicle/unconventional vehicle, but accept a regular driver's license. Of course, this info assumes I counted correctly when I went thru the list.

Rural King is offering the Peak 700 Amp Jump Starter/USB power source for $19.93 after $15 mail-in rebate (limit 2 items per rebate request). Unit automatically recognizes reversed battery polarity. In my case, shipping for one of these would be $10.05, while shipping for two would only be $10.58. RK offers free shipping on orders over $99 (with some restrictions).

I bought the Rivco Products rear fender which comes with a swing-arm mud flap.
    $150 for both + shipping.

Or, you can easily make your own from some flexible plastic/rubber and just mount it behind the screws holding the center panel in place above the swing-arm.

Since I already had them, I installed the NGK 92182 Iridium plugs. If I don't like them, I guess I'll switch to the Hahn-recommended 4306 plugs set to .030, but that is a significant reduction from the 4306's standard .050 gap.

They worked out great once I ajusted air pressure here is the proof after 70 plus miles of torture. Not bad for a 75$ tire.

That's some serious shoulder wear. I confess ignorance since I've never been to a track. How many track days do you feel you can get from a tire like that? They look like they're ATR Sport 2 All-Season tires. Any thoughts about the ATR Sport?

Ok you gurus for this coming track day Im going try out the Achilles 245/40ZR/18 for rear ($81.97) and brand new stock 17 kendas upfront. I know " KENDAS " but they are virgins and have never been mounted ( i mean installed) using stock base wheels which are stronger than SL tires for track ( no offense i have them for daily driving). Let you guys know after Dec 4.

How did that Achilles 245/40ZR18 tire work out for your track day? Just wondering. Achilles actually rates those tire at
400-AA-A compared to the 300 rating for the Kendas.
