Our PedalMax just got delivered, going to go get some baseline information from it, but will not have time to really test it until next week.
please post some early impressions.....i would like to hear them...

I'll have to hook up with you sometime to check it out. Are you still around the D?
yes, I will take you for a ride. We should link up soon, let me know when your free??
I personally don't think the Sling would benefit much from it. My Ram has bad lag in the beginning of pressing the pedal. It would help in that situation, which is the only reason I did any research into pedal signal amplifiers.
Wolf this is a big upgrade
Display MoreI’m still not removing the for sale sign on my slightly used bridge.
I have been wrong only once in my lifetime......it started on the day I was born and hasn't ended yet.
The idle max is not the same as a tune.
If I set my idle speed to 10,000 rpms standing still....what happens when I pop the clutch and mash the gas pedal?
Wow look at the increase in performance...as I burn tire down the block.
I just tested this at the max 100 setting the idle stayed at the orginal stock point(in 1st and neutral). With my foot off the gas it picks up the same 5 miles mph speed without any gas applied. The biggest difference is when smah the gas it builds rpm's much much faster than stock, and that's what makes this such a great upgrade.
Really suprised at the responses in this thread.
Display MoreData, data, data!
All the "butt dyno" claims fail to impress. Let's see the following (with video evidence, please!) for both stock Slingshot and Pedlemax mod. In the SAME vehicle with a neutral third-party driver:
1. 0-60, 5 runs averaged (Launch performance)
2. 35-75, 5 runs averaged (Passing performance)
3. 0-100, 5 runs averaged (Full power band performance)
4. Quarter mile time, 5 runs averaged
Time to back your claims with some numbers. Admittedly, this is a bit of work, but if your gadget performs as well as you say it does, you have a winner and your sales will go up (deservedly so!)
If you can't back this up I'm just gonna have to file Pedalmax under "Snake Oil" along with the Veg-O-Matic and the Pocket Fisherman.
you will be getting your wish soon very soon
So, then cannot a driver get the same sensation without spending the extra money by just mashing down harder on the accelerator?
Bill
Simply put NO.

I hear you can get both in a package deal ......
.......
.
have you experienced the pedalmax yet???
I'm hoping to get one installed when at Slingshots in the Rockies.
DO IT! this is prolly the best mod that can be done. At less than 300 dollars this is really almost unbelieveable.....
I'm gonna post the 0-60 before and after soon.
Review: SIMPLY AMAZING
This thing is AMAZING. Pulls much harder in each gear, the 0-60 and 0 -100 runs are much much faster. 5th gear is much more usable. This is on a otherwise bone stock slingshot.
THIS MAKES THE SLINGSHOT FINALLY PEFORM HOW IT SHOULD!
Any questions just ask.
hehehe - To be totally honest I love talking about these things and understanding them and how they work, but I am actually very pleased with the performance of my Slingshot as it is, If I could find more ways to improve ride and cornering I might be interested in spending that hard earned money you mention, but as far as performance mods go thats pretty much it,
I just ordered mine and will be posting a big compreshensive review.
Display MoreTrying to decide what to go with.
I have about a grand of "fun money".
My Sling is the Blue/Yellow
Current choice:
DDM Works shocks
or
ZZP Stage 1 (header, exhaust, cold ait intake, tune)
Leaning towards the ZZP package.
My Slingshot SL already has:
HID lighting
Upgraded stereo - Head Unit, SSV loop pods, two 10" subs, amp
Baker ripper wings
Louder horns
LED strip lighting
Powder Coated rims, other rim matching colors all over.
it might be the pedal max, i just ordered one i will let you know next week, been hearing some amazing claims, i will report back.
If we are talking about getting off the line first I can see where an upgrade like this might be important. reaction time both human and in this case electronic is very important in things like drag racing where every 100th of a second counts
having said this I am not sure if having the throttle body more sensitive to less pedal movement is something that would be beneficial in day do day driving or in other forms of racing - it seems to me that having the throttle overly sensitive could actually cause problems and harm performance on a race track going in to and out of corners and having just the right amount of throttle when upshifting and downshifting
good point but remember it can always be adjusted on the fly the improvement ranges from 1-100max

If driven by someone not afraid to use the full range of the throttle it won't .... most drivers are adverse to using the last third of the pedal.. for those this is a "miracle" .....
To improve times you need to increase power under the curve and/or traction .. this does neither ...
It may even hurt "times" since those who have it seem to have trouble modulating the narrower throttle throw and note spinning or burning the tire "easier" ....
....
.
Here's the thing if it does what it says it does, i'm not sure how an equivalent driver can post a identical time in a stock sling(key word you said MOST), as this elimnates the lag and reaction time of the trotthle body open and accelration happening , all conditions equal. I have a similar product for the abarth 500 and it has been a big difference and there is no way a stock abarth 500 could beat mine with the go pedal upgrade.
I have it and love it.. can burn the tires in every gear.. it is not a ECM tune for sure.. but it does give you that quick shift lag gone. I call it the "poor man turbo" lol
Sent from my moto g(6) using Polaris Slingshot Forum mobile app
thanks for the response man, how much faster does it seem to 0-60?
If as they say it is different from pedal to the medal then it should get a better 0-60 time or so logic says.
That's all i'm saying.....based on all the responses it should....
In theory...
The problem is, it doesn't improve HP or Torque numbers, just allows the throttle to respond more quickly. So throttle response improves, that means you can accelerate more quickly since there is no delay in the signal from the pedal to the drive by wire system. The rate of acceleration would not change.
but here's the thing you don't need to improve hp or torque to get better times. if you can remove lag and improve reaction times, that can't be reproduced under normal situations(without the pedal max) it would have to produce better times correct?
SO it's safe to say this would make a slingshot produce better performance numbers....am i correct?
Been running the WP Dual Rear for 2.5 years and counting. Couldn't be happier.
The 1320 quad tip exhaust is a pain in the @$$ to keep the tips centered as there is a single mounting point for them and the main pipe pulls on them. If'n you have any OCD, skip it.
Thanks, I appreciate that heads up and yes i do have a bit of ocd, i would be adjust them constantly lol, no thanks
