    This is probably like asking what oil brand some people use. So yall don't go crazy with this question. ^^


    I just knocked on the wood table here for luck before typing this. I am not bragging with the post below..... I'm merely like a lot of people, confused as to why my (catch every cold, weak immune system, out of shape, lazy, and non vaccinated) a$$ hasn't sucked up this virus...


    Last month Allison and I were finally kinda forced into getting the vaccine (government tracer chemical) 8o. I say forced... I mentioned to my main employer which is also our family physician that I had not worn a mask, had traveled around most of the Eastern US, shook hands with most people, and eaten in pretty much every sh1thole restaurant. And so far this (super contagious, fast spreading, evil, sneaky virus) had not made its home inside me or my wife. The doctor I work for kinda gave me the speech that we should take it because if we did end up getting the virus we would not have people who may not help us like they would if we had taken the antiviral shot. So we took both rounds of Moderna.


    I do genuinely know it's a killer virus. I have lost several close friends that were young and old to it. So I know it's a very real threat. I also know that at any time my wife and I may wake up with it.


    I still am curious why it seems to hit certian people no matter their age. I had a close friend that died from it. He was my age, my size, and he was a germaphobe. He washed everything. He even closed his computer shop in town and worked from home. He just thought he had a cold because he had really no direct contact with the outside world and just knew he didn't have Covid. On his 4th day with symptoms he drove himself to the Florence AL hospital and said he felt dizzy and feverish. 4 days later he was dead. That was when I knew this was real and close to home.


    Anyway, I didn't type all of this to have people arguing or bantering about the whole antiviral shot being good or bad. I am just curious as to why some seem to be able to lick a door handle and some can't be in the same building that someone infected has walked thru without getting it.

    It is. I have been trying out a new device to increase the charge voltage. It changes the pulse width signal going to the alternator and makes it output more voltage. These red top batteries require 14 volts to really get them to charge. When your running a haltec ecu you loose the pulse width signal that tells the alternator to charge higher than 13.2 volts. Most normal batteries seem to charge fine with that but the red top just won't charge.


    I have found out since I purchased the device I mentioned above how to use one of my haltec output leads and make it regulate the alternator. I will let everyone know how it works out once I get this mess cleaned up and confirm that it works.

  • Need a copy of Windows 8 Pro. I need to download the IMG or ISO of it. I DO NOT NEED THE SERIAL KEY....

    I need a copy (not the key code) of windows 8 Pro. I have windows 8.1 and I cant use it because the computer I am working on has windows XP. There is not direct upgrade path to Windows 8.1. I need someone that has a DVD to make an image out of it and upload it to my google drive or wherever I can download it. I am not wanting the license key. I just need to DVD because I have to finish this upgrade this weekend. Or at least I would like to finish it this weekend. ^^


    So if you have a Windows 8 Pro disk and you don't mind making an IMG or ISO file from it I would greatly appreciate it.

    Here is what is driving me crazy. I have my garage cleaned completely out. There is not one thing in it. I have everything that is related to tools and toolboxes and storage bins on my carport. I can't find anything. They are supposed to be done with my new shop Wed so hopefully I'll move this stuff to it and sort it out.

    The girl that I was referring to is Sarah Merrell. Her better half is the manager of the Deals Gap store. I'm sure she may not be the fastest to pass thru the gap..... But I would feel safe betting she was in the top 3. Lol


    There is an article about her if you Google her name. She lives in Marryville and also has a place at the gap area.

  • Where Did You Take Your Slingshot Today?

    I met the guy on the goldwing once. I was sitting on the patio outside the store at the dragon and he was sitting across from me talking to some of his friends. I found out he charges people to follow them thru the dragon while filming them. He has cameras on his bike and he will film anyone that wants to pay. He also will give you tips on what your doing wrong and help you. He is a genuine bad ass. And yes, he is one of the fastest to pass thru the gap.


    However,,, EjFord I think the fastest person thru the gap is the girl that lives at the gap. She rides a supermoto bike. I'll try to dig up some pics of her. You will know when you have been passed by her. She will pick the hardest line on purpose and pass you. She is one of the people that can be all the way leaned over in a turn and have one hand on the handle bar and still reach over and flip your kill switch off and blow on past you. =O

  • Finally traded the raptor off. Going to get something with 707hp to replace it.

    I'm about to add my 3rd modification to the TRX. I like to have plenty of light when I drive late at night through the forest. I also have been wanting to try and simulate the brightness of the sun. So I splurged (I have NEVER spent this much on lighting in my life) and just recieved my 50" Rigid ADAPT series led light bar. I also have the super low profile stealth mounts on the way. I am mounting it on the front of the cab as close to the roof top as I can.


    These lights even has a GPS to adjust the beam according to the speed your traveling. And each pod has colored led lights inside them and they have strobes. They are almost 40,000 lumens

    I am moving my daughter from her apartment across town to a house today. Yesterday I hooked to my 8.5x24 enclosed trailer with the TRX and went to fill up with gas so I could head out early this morning. It will pull the trailer like it's not even hooked up. But it gets really really bad mileage. This picture was taken right after I filled up and was headed back home. I did manage to get 7mpg if I eased up on the gas just a little.

    It should not even know it's in line until u use it. Every time you use it it will set the yellow lights off on the dash till you restart. Just another reason I shit canned the dash and ecu.

  • Are I’m the only one who thinks because you belong to a different party

    The only time I ever look at what yall are doing is when I get a bunch of "you might want to look at this" kind of messages. And even then I have to step back and see if it's just a one time thing or if it's someone just trying to get shit stirred up.


    Yall are doing OK in my book. You just have to remember that you can't win an online debate. AND POSTING YOUR VIEWS AND BELIEFS OVER AND OVER WILL NEVER MAKE YOU RIGHT. So I try to weight that in when I have to pull someone to the side and remind them.


    I don't ban anyone for posting their views. However I would ban someone if they were posting an argumentative viewpoint after every freaking post made by someone on the forum. That is just annoying.


    I see some that want to leave the forum just because someone has a different political view and that makes me confused. I'm confused because I can't remember anyone on the forum forcing someone to click on a link and read. Nobody should feel that they have to leave the forum. Heck I even give you the tools to block certain people and their post and activity. I even give you the ability to block the whole thread or topic from showing up.


    I get people that ask me why we even have a NSFW section and an off topic section. The forum is about the Polaris Slingshot. The reason for the off topic sections is simple. It would get real boring real fast if we all just talked about the slingshot. No one has that much daily new slingshot information to keep content fresh.


    If yall see someone just being a dick let me know. I don't read these threads. I can't. It's just to much to look at every day. Every day we average 190 to 250 post. I never reveal who tells me stuff so if you have a legitimate complaint let me know. I can promise you I will look into it asap.
