Just curious as to what non boosted and boosted SS’s are using and thoughts about how it feels with yours compared to stock drive setup....
What gear ratio are you running on 5 speed manual?

AFAIK, boosted or NA, we all probably run the same gearing since I believe there is limited choice in terms of changing the rear pulley sizes. The only real option I'm aware of is to go Quad where you have a variety of choices as far as rear-end ratios.
-
Yes, I thought I posted in Quad section as there are quite a few different rear end ratios to choose from, I am running 3:45 gears, tried taller gear first but didn’t like it, there is an even shorter gear, wondered if anyone tried that and had feedback.....
-
My concern about going to a shorter gear ratio is it's already hard enough keeping the rear wheel(s) from spinning. If I can ever afford/justify a Quad kit, maybe I'll get to find out!

I was looking at 3:45 - what has you considering changing it up more?
-
Well, I like were I’m at but wondered how going even shorter would be.... I don’t really get on mine from a dead stop much, more fun once it’s rolling....
-
To be honest I can’t remember what the trakhamr ratio is, but I can break the tires loose if I want.
-
I want to say my TrakHamr has 373 gears if my memory serves me right

For the Trak Hamr kits I think the options were 3.54 & 3.73. i believe that the 3.73's are the more popular option. Whatever you can get for a DANA 36 pumpkin.

Hey Byron, how is that old slingshot treating you?

I've got a project to do now. Still running top notch, need to replace a coolant hose that is leaking intermittently. Nice to see you here Lostway.
