Rear Speaker Pod Installation

  • I'm currently gathering up everything I need to install the rear speaker pods under the roll bars on my 2020 R. I have the speakers and pods and now I'm looking towards the Amp.


    When installing the Amp, does it replace the stock Amp? Or is it added to it and only powers the rear speakers?

    I saw the Rockford Fosgate Amp kits but according to the write up on Slingmods, I would have to replace the side pod speakers that came stock as well and I don't want to do that just yet.


    Any thoughts/advice is appreciated!

  • Honestly that choice is up to you. You could just use an amp to power the rear pods only by using a powered line out converter and tapping into the wire for the front speakers to create your RCA outputs and plug that into your amp and wire your amp to your new speakers. Be sure to match the impedance of your new speakers and your amp.


    Many people run this setup with a 4-channel amp and power bothe the roll hoop speakers and an additional set or a sub
