Just wondering if anybody knows where I could pick up an Alignment Kit for the Slings. Looking on line all morning...still can't find what I'm looking for.

This was a common problem with the Polaris Slingshot's coming from the factory in 2015 and 2016. So for them to say they had not seen this problem before is BS.
you would think an alignment would be part of the production line quality control...

You can buy the laser alignment system for your SS, it cost about $2000 but you can make money from it.

Price is really not a concern at this point. Having my own Laser Alignment Kit that I can help out the local riders up here in the Virginia Beach area is kinda' priceless.

I believe FunCycle has one and says his playroom is crowded. Maybe he'd let you store it for him. 😁

Would you be willing to part with it? I'll make you a good offer!

@VShot. I’ll keep you informed. I’m in the Brigadoon area.

I would consider that, with my back as it is I will probably never use it.

Here's a link to a post by @Otter over on TDS - https://www.slingshotforums.co…ond-mod.4881/#post-101810, that addresses the problems with the Slingshot's alignment setup and what he did to improve it. Not everyone liked his approach and it hopefully isn't needed on the more recent , say 2017+ models.

if I recall correctly....this came up a while ago and there was talk about over steering and under steering that had to do with making it Not return to center.....Something to consider....

Found a new place for tires...

I've done hundred's of alignments all over the country (SSITS, Vegas, Slingfest in Texas, etc). They all should be lasered. Some are worse than others, but it still should be done. Every Sling that leaves our dealership get's lasered before the customer takes delivery. Tire wear, handling, cornering, etc. is all related to alignment. Also keep an eye on tire pressures, and stick to the recommended 28psi. It can change daily so keep up on it. The only accurate, repeatable system is the Polaris Alignment tool. We can get the same setup/measurement on every Sling. Camber is set from the factory (and can be adjusted with the same tool set) but I've never changed one yet - not to say it couldn't be done if needed.

I have been around from nearly the beginning and never read that thread, so I just spent the last hour or so going over it. If I understand correctly it is the goal to ultimately have more shims in the top front and less in the top rear? Now our March 2015 built SlingShot has one thick and 5 thin shims on the front with only one thin shim on the rear, I cannot imagine much good being done by moving only one thin shim so I am assuming that we are good to go from the factory??
I have been meaning to get our SlingShot laser aligned for the nearly six years now that we have owned it, but just have not got around to spending the day it will take riding it the 200 miles each way to get it done!
