And he didn't link it over here, for shame!
Here is a nice addition to that shifter that you may want to look at : What was today's Sling project-Mods , goodies....?

Easy install. Took longer than it should have because my wife was "helping".
-
Are you saying that she was the "Stupor-visor"?
-
Piece of cake. My biggest problem was breaking the set screw free. I bought mine @ Eureka Springs last year and they tried to install it but gave up because it was too tight. (Opened myself up for that one Tripod!) Ended up heating it up a little and using a cheater bar it finally broke loose. They must have used some super duper thread lock when they install the sparco stuff!
-
Lynn let me drive his at Eureka Springs this past weekend, Loved it now I am getting one. What a difference it makes.
-
And it might just be my imagination, but after install, it feels like the gears are engaged tighter and there is less vibration when at low throttle in 1st/2nd gears. I love this mod!
-
I think this is probably my next mod. I have a heavy Sparco shift knob... I may try that before buying a new one.
I like the look of the 1320 knob, but not the logo. Also wonder about using a longer knob on a short shifter - does it defeat the purpose?
-
It will work DR the short throw is at the bottom side.

I have the Sparco knob on mine. Love the short throw!

Got the short shifter in mine.
Added a black leather knob with red stitching from Slingmods...
About a year later, it was looking worn.
Added a NRG Threaded Shift Adapter which uses (M10 x 1.50) threads.
If you have the DDMWorks Threaded Shift Knob Adapter, it uses (M10 x 1.25) threads.
Went over to Speed Dawg and picked me out a great rally shift knob.
No pic cause googie not wanting to share my pics at this moment.

It’s always convenient to have the shift pattern printed on the knob...

Agreed, i have the same, love it. It's one of those must installs, that you didn't know you needed, until you have it, or drove a friends who has it.
Dave@DDMWorks did the updated instructions go out on new products about doing the twirl dance to make sure all is smooth before installing? We should name that the twirl maneuver until you name it something better
If not, can you post them, I don't see this updated on your site yet.
Whats this "Twirl" you speak of? Ordering mine today

Well, he never answered.
This is how I understand it.
On step 3 : https://ddmworks.3dcartstores.…t%20Shifter%20Rev%20A.pdf after you install the plastic end (smaller piece at the end of the shifter), twirl/twist it around on that ball joint a bunch, Dave says it helps remove any very small perfections and makes for a much smoother shifting experience. He's even put it in a drill and spun it he says, but it must be a pretty big drill he has, that shifter isn't really small.
