My friend's Twist Dynamics wing has developed a maddening squeak. Not side-to-side but up and down. Left brackets.
Since I have one too and just know the same thing will happen to me, any suggestions?
Thanks as always

any bolts loose? have they tried tighten up the bolts? where is it mounted at?
I should have clearly stated NO LOOSE BOLTS. the wing goes on with its own brackets and hardware.
but where is it mounted to, roll hoops or the rear deck or some place else?
Had the same thing. Drove me so crazy, I took it apart and found the bracket itself (the small piece that connects directly to wing) was cracked. One email with a pic and Twist replaced at no charge.

By your description...
I am assuming you are able to duplicate the squeak by hand manipulation.
You could try some powdered graphite applied to all the bolt together mounting areas. Put down a towel or sheet to prevent getting graphite all over the rear deck and other areas. A bit messy...
If the squeak subsides...
Loosen, clean, and re-tighten mount bolts.
If squeak is still present...
Start looking for hairline cracks in spoiler near mount.
Powdered graphite can be found at most hardware and automotive parts stores. Most often used to lubricate keyed devices; locks, door hinges, etc.
Thanks everyone I will pass all this along!
He checked his wing today and the bracket is indeed broken.
When he mounts the replacement brackets, there is a step that many get wrong because it just seems like a bad fit. If you don't mount the bracket (see pic) with one side on the inside of the connection point to the wing and one side outside of the other connection point, it will torque on those connections and crack over time.
