Here it is heading into August and as far as I can tell the Pacific Northwest has yet to see a 2020 model SlingShot on any of their dealer showroom floors, are there other areas of the country also experiencing this?
Just checked the dealers website where I bought mine and it looks like they have 5 2020's in stock and a bunch of 2019's. They are a fairly large dealer in Riverside. the smaller dealer that is closest to me, about 20 minutes from my house only has 1 slingshot listed and it is a blue 2020 R autodrive - - - in a quick glance at other dealers within a reasonable distance it looks like they all have at least 1 or 2 2020's
I've seen at least 4 of them around me on the road in the past 2 weeks. Might be a collector if someone chooses to call it that, but it seems to me that all the Slingshots depreciate enough (quickly) to never mention Polaris Slingshot and Collector in the same sentence.....
The only way a slingshot will become a “collectors” vehicle is if it becomes discontinued and Polaris stops all production. Then and only then consider the value of the slings to go significantly up.
