On our great Forum we have 90% "don't" hold me the the number, is basically a political Forum. What went wrong her there are other social medias to do that.

Even the new Slingshot owners are not asking the questions that we were asking a few years ago. So we must have a real informative forum where they can find the answers they are looking for.

This forum is tame compared to some. When I had a GoldWing trike, I was briefly on what I thought was a TRIKE forum. It was "populated" by mostly HD trike owners. After a week or so, I just erased my login and password from my browser and every place I had it written or stored.
The racism, political bias and brand bashing would embarrass even FOXNEWS.

there is that nice "Ignore Thread" button in the corner of every thread - - if people dont want to see want to see the political threads - just hit the button - - - thats why it is there

first of all.....it’s a slingshot forum.....still is.....I don’t divide the forum into two sections.....one about slingshots and one about everything not related to slingshots....if you can’t handle the politics....stay on the slingshot side of the forum and pretend the rest doesn’t exist....what’s so hard about that? Stop complaining about stuff that you have no interest in....
There are many subjects (threads) on the entire forum I have never Clicked on....I have no interest in the topics....but I don’t sit here and complain about them...Evidentially they are an interest to some people or they wouldn’t be there...nobody is being forced to open any thread on here....
and as mentioned before the happenings around the world today....have suddenly become very political, very deadly (virus)( riots) (protests) (killings )...and the threads have become very informative and timely.. some of the things discussed could actually keep you safe and or even alive....do I agree with everything Discussed on here. NO....does everyone have an opinion ? YES....is anyone being killed other Physically hurt? NO...have I learned anything? YES
the most important election of our lifetime ( in the country’s entire existence) is coming in 100 days....and it involves the direction this country will follow......one way will be good and prosperous....one will lead to socialism/communism. So everyone better be as informed as possible before you vote....the outcome of getting It wrong will last forever...There won’t be a second chance...
when I was younger I didn’t give a flying F .... about politics.....then I woke up and found out The things these people want to do to the country and the world could kill me. I have never been as involved in an election as I have with this one.....I never donated any money to anyone until this one...I don’t have lots of money but I’m over $3000 in donations.....because the outcome matters that much to me and people I love. We can not afford to get this wrong...as a nation.It doesn’t take much to see what one political party has in store for the country...Look at what’s in the headlines in several states already....if it happens to the entire country what will we have? Nobody will need to worry about what oil to use in your slingshot....so now let’s talk about what’s really important today and tomorrow and in 100 days....or 100 years.

The other Slingshot forum I used to belong to would kick me out whenever they'd have a technical issue and no recourse to say "hey I'm blocked unjustly", soooo I"m here.

I don't see an index where I can find the most appropriate place to ask "anyone sell a rear fender for plain ol "S" model SS? ....or to browse ideas for audio systems. I have used the search, but it tends to be sloppy because it searches everywhere not just specific sub sections of the forum.
Alot of the "unread" posts do revolve around politics and everyone here is respectful so I'm grateful for that.

I think a lot of people miss just how political the slingshot community is. I would say it's probably like a 75/20/5 Split...I won't say in which major party favor. I think that a lot of that comes with the age of the community. That's not a knock or a praise in any direction. I run 3 Slingshot pages on Facebook and I see it all the time. And I have gotten to the point where I ban people for bringing up politics. Why? Because there is nothing positive about it. It incites division within the community...and ultimately there is no winner.
We are also in the midst of the oddest election season I can remember. Unfortunately it means that people are coming out of the woodworks to share their opinion...even if no one wants to hear it. All I can recommend is, ignore it, live your life, and know that there is more to life than petty disagreements about what clown is going to run the country next. -

Are you using a computer or a phone to browse the forum? Just curious because the phone sometimes narrows the forum down (in my opinion) to much.
When coming to forum you should have a menu at the top of the page. You can pick Forum and it will carry you to the link below.

If you go to the top bar and look at Market Place you will find a Want section and also a for sale section. As to sound system equipment and installs there were many threads dealing with this. I have been out of the sound system stuff for about 20 years and rarely even turn the sound system on. Been there and done that, a lot better things to spend money on but to each his own. Also just ask your question and I am very sure someone on here will help you out

Yes I found the search is not very useful. Even when I try to narrow it down with the options. But maybe it's just me.

Try going to google, in the search bar, put this:
site:slingshotinfo.com headlight upgrades
or whatever term you want, and of course, this works for any site that google indexes and it does a pretty good job of searching, vs the forum software

Generally, I learn to ignore the overly political threads, although I occasionally allow my stupidity to cause me to take a peak at a political thread.
While I feel most people could benefit from my totally unbiased opinion, I try to avoid posting it simply to avoid contributing to what might get considered a political opinion. Everybody is entitled to their incorrect political opinions regardless of degree of wrongness, I just don't need to read all of them. I haven't used it very often, but there is a Thread Ignore option that minimizes the temptation to see stuff I know will just aggravate me.
Most of the posters here seem to usually keep their political post in designated threads, although some occasionally post anywhere, but by and large we have some considerate forum members here.

I detest politics, politicians and most parts of our government. I also detest reading, listening or talking about it.
I still like most of you anyway, no matter what your opinions or politics are. I have the same problem with my immediate family, and you guys are just extensions of that.
