As far as I'm aware, nobody has developed an automatic manual shift trans that does so as smoothly as a normal manual. It will be interesting to see how smoothly the new Hyundai iMT shifts

Remains to be seen. The 2020 Venue for the USA just lists the 6 speed manual trans with 1.6L 4-cylinder. The Indian model described in the article uses a 6-speed iMT and 1.0L turbo'd motor. Don't know if Kia or Hyundai will ever be bringing the new transmission to the US.
