.......that wheels are my last real major mod and since I've gone 3 years with these stock wheels I want to treat myself to some nice eye candy looking wheels BUT going bigger in the rear doesn't sit well with the W.P. rear dual exhaust (rubbing issues) , so I'm looking to get the rear y-pipe that attaches to both canisters chopped up and routed a little different to accommodate bigger wheels without the rubbing issues.... Since I refused to buy another rear tire (on my 2nd), these wheels & rubber will last me til the end of the season , then the exhaust mod begins and wheels to come.......in the mean time I need to find someone (welder) willing to tackle this mod for me.....
Ok so I've decided....

Whatever it takes to make it yours!

How wide do you want to go with your Welter exhaust?
I have a 345/25/20 that fits just fine

What width wheel do you have that tire mounted on? I'd like to upsize my rear tire but I'm afraid if I go any wider with the rear wheel the tire will rub on the factory adjustable shock.

.....do you have a w.p. dual exhaust....? I just want AT LEAST a 300 on there rear but those rims I'm looking at come in 20s & 22 in the rear & comes with 2 choices of tires BUT with the w.p. duals , I've seen others with big wheels and have the duals and you can see where it touches the Y-pipe....now I did perform the mod on the rear section of the w.p. where it moves it closer to to rear panel to prevent that rubbing and it worked great with the stock wheel still being back there BUT as soon as I go to a bigger wheel I know the outcome......so as you can see in the pic with my duals and the RED LINE i made, I want the Y-pipe to flow like in the other pic of the exhaust slingmods sell.....

No matter what they say bigger is not always better

11 1/2" wheel with the Welter duals

just my two cents....the rear wheel travels (Bounces) Up and down about 5 or so inches...On rough roads....adding bigger tires and wheels is going to add more weight to the swing arm...won’t that make the bouncing more violent? Adding More stress to the swing arm...
-
I don't know how your slingshot performs, but my rear wheel doesn't travel up and down at all. It rotates like hell and the rear end of the slingshot may have some travel, but the wheel never leaves the ground
-
.....I'm wondering are there anyone with a 22 on the rear with the w p. Duals and if so do you have any pics of your setup and perhaps upclose where the Y-pipe section is, thanks

Why would anybody want a 22in wheel since it will affect your speedometer reading ? To some, show trumps function.
-
True to some degree but there are still those with em on, alot.......I actually would like 18s & 20 on the rear but of course Rev Dyn doesn't make the wheels I want in the size I want

Speedo sensors are in the front wheels. As long on the overall diameter/circumference says the same, it shouldn't change.
I went 22 in the rear, 20" in front. I wish I would have stayed 20 all the way around, but c'est la vie.

What exhaust, a few of my friends all went with 20s all the way around

The stock brake rotors are so small that they look lost inside of a 20" wheel. I can't imagine it looking any better with a 22" wheel
