I remember riding 300 miles down to my Grandparent's farm in the back of a pickup with my GF. Used a couple blankets to keep warm and have some privacy!
Some Funny Comics I recently received in emails

since we are going all nostalgic…
Had to have the baddest bike on the block …
then you got older and had to have bell bottom jeans…
Then ya got a little older and along came the disco days - leisure suits and platform shoes!! How many of you guys are guilty of ever wearing the fashion disasters

You should have seen the looks I got on front street Georgetown, S.C. with my bell bottoms, flower shirt and the strap boots. The East coast was 6 months at least behind the West coast in 1967.

Well when I put playing cards on my wheels they hadn't come out with plastic clothes pins. They were wood. Yes I had the leisure suit in lime green but not the shoes. Also had a Nero Jacket. And a couple pair of mens hot pants shorts.

I absolutely HATED that disco crap. I was a biker & used to wear a T-shirt during that era that said, “KILL THE BEE GEES” in huge letters. It was all Harleys & rock & roll for me…

I was never into disco, one time I was talked into going to a disco dance club and they were playing this, had one drink and walked out.
looking back it might have actually been the best disco music I ever heard, - - but still not even close to real music like The Who
-
You could walk in the Disco joint at 9 PM and leave at 12 and you would still have the same beat to the music. One club was all it took for me. How do you dance to the same beat for 3 or 4 hours? I had to ask the DJ 4 times to play a slow song.
