Gotta ask... how do you check if the circuit trips if "it" gets wet?
Asking for a friend...
and a how to manual...
preferably with lotsa photos. 😁
GFCIs have been traditionally placed in a circuit that is positioned near water sources and are often used to protect multiple outlets, meaning downstream outlets will lose power whenever the GFCI detects a problem. This can be problematic when those other outlets are in rooms where one would not normally expect a GFCI to be in the circuit, for example, a bedroom outlet losing power when a bathroom GFCI trips.
Here's a good article explaining the differences between fuses, circuit breakers, GFCI outlets vs GFCI breakers and AFCI breakers and where they are typically placed when wiring a building - https://happyhiller.com/blog/g…t-interrupter-protection/.
My Uncle was a licensed electrician and one of his favorite stories was about me. MY parents moved into their house right after I turned 4 years old. My dad was trying to hang a curtain rod above the picture window in the Living Room, but the light from the floor lamp was shining up into his eyes, so he yelled for someone to turn it off. I immediately took a pair of scissors I had been playing with and cut the cord. I was knocked across the room and the scissor's blades were fused together! My Uncle thought it was hilarious when I said the cord bit me!
In Electronics Shop in High School, whenever someone was hunched over a project and not paying attention, someone else usually came up behind them and discharged a capacitor on their neck! No permanent damage, but it would really sting!
Some more funnies from my pusher -

Yep! Well aware of how these work (or how they are supposed to). Kinda like traction control, this technology might save the foolish, but it angers the great God Darwin!

Dear Manos, all you need to do is remove the ring on her finger and her sex life will be revived.
