Hi all, I am new. Ok to the point I have a 2015 Slingshot with 7800 miles on it, what is the price I should look for on a trade in or should I try and sell it privately?
Hi All! I am trading my 2015 for a 2020

Kelley Blue Book lists a 2015 SL as $11750 dealer trade in and $15,680 dealer sale price. Private sale is generally the median of the two. Consider your lower than normal mileage and whatever mods you have in setting a price. Mods will probably figure at about a third of new value.

A few weeks back there was one sold for $12,000, but they are all over the place for $13,000 to $15,000 and they might have quite a few mods on them also.

Keep in mind, mods don't affect the price that much, but I don't see why you couldn't get 13 to 15k easily if it's in good shape. A bit more if you have a few good mods on it. Good luck with the swap.

Don't want to pee on your parade but I would not pay more than 10k since there is a 2018 slr on here for 16k with very low miles.

I made the offer of $13,000 on Sling II and 3 days later he called back. No mods other than a +6 wind screen and 10,500 miles last Sept.

supply and demand, and timing...

Last fall a friend bought a 2015 SL with 250 miles on it (YES 250 miles) $14,500.

Back in 2017 our dealer sold a low mileage 2015 SL trade-in for $15,000. Comparatively, if it had been a base model it would have sold for less than that. (We almost bought it at the time so to have his-n-hers SlingShots.) A few months ago, a local, low mileage, 2017 SlingShot, after being on the market for several months, finally was sold for under $10,000 to an out-of-state buyer. Your best bet would be to sell it on the open market and hope that a disciple of P.T. Barnum comes along.................................
One thing in your favor, however, is that some folks now will be willing to pay more for the manual transmission!

When I sold my vehicle's I always stuck it out front with a sign. I think that's how you're going to get your best price.

Given your location--how do they see it under all that snow
