only if everyone actually did as they were asked and stayed home - - it would have stopped the virus dead in its tracks
unfortunately I suspect a good number of people would have disobeyed the order, probably yelling that they have rights - the money would not have mattered, their right to party, or whatever would have been more important - - - - - and we would probably be exactly the same place we are

you are probably correct - if everyone were tested people who "thought" they were immune would probably just go out and not care - - problem is we dont even know if having had this guarantees immunity - there are quite a few reports of people getting the virus a second time after having it and then testing negative - - remember the common cold is a type of coronavirus and as we all know there is no immunity to it.
also just because you cant get something that does not guarantee you cant spread it to others and potentially get them sick
frankly if I were in charge the last thing I would want is a bunch of people thinking the basic social distancing and face covering rules do not apply to them - - if nothing else it would make enforcing those rules impossible because no one would be able to tell who needed a mask and who didnt

If getting it doesnt impart immunity there can't be a vaccine. So I guess we never go back to work.

I suspect that no vaccine is a real possibility and if that happens - we will just learn live with it like we do the common cold or the flu
perhaps washing hands more frequently, wearing masks, and a bit of respect for the space of others just becomes the normal way of life - - - - frankly if people learned a bit more respect for others from this I think it would be a good thing - - - our current "Me First" attitude kinda sucks if you ask me

I have not missed a single day of work during the "shutdown" being in a financial business that is responsible for helping to keep money flowing my work was deemed essential as such it stayed open
My wife works as a dealer in an Indian Casino - they opened back up last Friday - - I guess the Indians think keeping their money flowing is essential
last Friday restaurants and a bunch of other businesses were also given the green light to reopen and over the long weekend I would guess 40 to 50% actually did
heck governor Gruesome has even said churches can re-open with some limitations
different locations are on different schedules - are your county / state leaders are still mandating that you stay at home?

if the government would have said...we will pay your salary to stay in your home for a month or two...and nobody had to worry about a paycheck.....why not? It could have stopped the spread pretty quickly.....
look where we’re at now....spending trillions and we aren’t done spending yet....and the economy is barely open...and people are still dying......Unemployed climbing and business bankruptcies are climbing...... teachers get 3 months off with pay....they aren’t committing suicide. This isn’t about anybody’s right to “party”.....it’s bigger than anyone one person...we’re all in the same boat.....unless you are rich......together we stand divided we fall.....

Edward Neal Don't get me wrong, I am all in with a company(Google) tracking me to make my life easier while recommending product to buy that I am interested in, I am not ok with a company tracking me solely for their benefit(facebook).
They don't provide me with anything to off set all the profits that they gain from "me/us" so i choose to avoid them as much as possible, I guess it all comes down to disliking the company parasitic ideology of take take take but never give.these companies are making millions from selling our information.....where’s our cut? Shouldn't we be getting a compensation check? I think that’s how Bloomberg made much of his 56 billion...demographics is a big business...

I am not so sure we are not being given the truth deliberately although that is a possibility - I think it is much more a case of they just don't know the truth yet - - - we have a bunch of "leaders" who are basically trying to give us their best guess based on partial and incomplete information

we already know the CDC, FDA, WHO And others are all bought and paid for.....don’t underestimate the financial implications involved....so if our news is bought and paid for just like 99% of the main stream media.....how can you trust anything they say to be factual... money is the root of all evil...nothing else is. I might not lie to you for $10.....but I might for $ 1 million... they get government funding and probably donations.....don’t forget the stock values to businesses connected to these organizations.....drug companies pay these people off to say things in their favor for profits...To get phony Drug test trails And approvals...you scratch my back I’ll scratch your wallet....
politics and greed is the worlds biggest problem...we may never know where the truth ends and the lies begin....I will never trust anything coming from the above names groups..... they had their chance and they sold us out. Lying about your weight is one thing but lying about things that can kill me is another...just think about all the drug recalls and billion dollar class action settlements......they set up compensation funds like it’s nothing because they already planned for it in their initial pricing/profit guidelines.....Look how much money we can make until they find out we’re killing them for money...That’s ok we’re still Way ahead...

I'm in rural Missouri so we are on phase two of reopening. The Ozarks is in phase WTF as you can tell by the news. My wife and I are both essential employees so worked throughout the shutdown with some modifications.
Looks like Cuomo had a moment of clarity.

Southeast Pennsylvania (Philadelphia area), we are still under "stay at home". Of course I take that to mean I can ride the sling by myself on occasion, before my better half has had enough and smothers me in my sleep.
