Installed the front wilwood calipers. Took an hour. Super easy and directions are spot on.Next step bleeding them. Should be a snap with speedbleeders.
-
Finished the bleed and set pads and new rotors. Next, remove jri shocks and send for rebuild. That's for another day.
-
Removed jri shocks and packaged for shipment. Take to ups later today. Must say I love the look of the ddm front and rear calipers. Can't wait for spring or dry roads once the shocks are returned.
-
Here's a few pics. The install could not have been easier unless someone else did it. Wish is parking brake was not so big. All instructions were spot on. Thanks Dave@DDMWorks.

Changed the oil in the supercharger. What a bitch and what a mess. Hoses on filter were very difficult to remove. But it's done for another 2 years. Oh, did I mention the front turn signal corners are freak'n sharp! I have a nice puncture in my scalp. Fortunately it stopped bleeding. Next, wait for jri shocks to arrive after rebuild, put on SM license plate bracket and maybe intall new zzp rotor on rear. Don't really want to remove the new ddm rear Caliper do it.

Nice, that oil is pricey and of course there is just enough left in that quart that you'll have to buy another one for next time to cover what it's short. At that price, should of been two fill-ups in the bottle

Looks like victory!😎

Just wanted everyone to know about JRI shocks. I bought the sport shocks years ago. Had them rebuilt and converted to touring Shocks 42k ago for $300. Sent them in to be rebuilt 1/5/23. Got a call from Marty at jri this morning stating they received them and needed credit card to start work. Rebuild will cost $242 plus $49 shipping. Since new jri touring Sshocks cost $1500, I think that's quite a deal. They were riding good yet but figured for that price get them rebuilt since I'm planning on doing allot of touring this season.

let me know, or show us how you are setting your sling up for touring. Curious as to what you’re doing for storage. How long will your trips be?
-
Since I'll probably be alone and toured many many years on a goldwing, I'm used to traveling light. Just going to use the storage behind the seats and 1 sedecki roll bar bag. That will be plenty of room for me. If I find someone to go with me I'll buy another sediecki bag. Don't mind doing laundry along the way.

I love it!
Perhaps get in, turn the key, get out on the highway- look for some adventure!
And take it to the limit one more time😎 🎶 -
The wife and I traveled to Maggie Valley last year packed our stuff in the Slingshotonly.com duffel bags, used the behind the seat storage for rain gear and helmets. Our motel had a washer and dryer so we did laundry when we needed it. Stayed for a week. Pack light, dont take anything you don't have to.

You Sir are a man among men - did you actually say bring the bride and pack lightly?? It has been my experience that statement to be an oxymoron. I get 1 pair jeans, 1 pair socks, and t shirts. All other available space is for things my bride can’t possibly live without which requires a Supercrew truck and trailer to make trips anymore. Why I live in MV now - don’t have to pack anymore 😂
