Also learned how easy it is to pull the radio today
installed dash mount and very happy.
I know boring but changed the oil and greased the ujoint at 100,000. Waiting for angle drive oil to be delivered tomorrow. Only problem I had was, I thought I had filters in the garage. Happened to be for my mower. Had to go to 4 auto places before finding one.
Are you going to use below? I have a qt bottle on order supposed to arrive Wednesday. Though I would give it a try. Got it on Ebay for $28 and some change free delivery. Anyone else using this for an extended period of time? Any issues?

Red Line Heavy ShockProof 75W250 Full Synthetic Gear Oil
I'm using redline 75w140. I read that the 250 weight my not be right for the earlier models.

Let us know how it works out after 5k or do. You can't believe everything on this forum.. l've read someplace where the passage holes in the gen1 units are smaller than the gen3 and they may glog with 250.
I was unaware Polaris offered a 250 weight.

I was under the impression the angle drive unit was a simple wet sump without oil passages?

Don't know but if higher weight would help with noise and no other issues, why wouldn't polarus recommend it like in the past?

Certainly, something to think about. I do her many good things including good viscosity at a wide temp range (75W250) and noise reduction in noisy gearboxes from companies like Baker transmissions and other top builders. Hopefully anyone using the heavyweight 75W250 will chime in.
Unconfirmed, so for what it's worth my sling is out of warrantee. My sling isn't particularly noisy but always striving for better and for under 30 bucks with fresh oil to boot. From another less used forum that isn't quite as good as this one.
Polaris has changed the Angle drive fluid to 85W-250 for ALL Slingshots. The New part # is 2889023. API GL-5. This was originally for the 20/21 models but no more. It is now for All.
Question is, where can you get it other than Polaris?
.....I'll try and give a good review after I place a few more miles on it and lower my music (which will be a hard thing to do)......
I did check the Polaris site. Understanding that the web page builders and the Polaris engineers may not be on the same page I plugged in my 2017 and it says it's good to go.
Ok, as promised, here are some of the photos of the fender redo, adding mesh to allow air flow as well as draining the water. and the hood vents are done. Today, my new headlights come in, i am putting in the 2020 headlight set as well as caliper covers. As soon as these are in, I will repost those updates also.
Guess I'll try 85W-250 next time
I'll let you know how it works for me. Polaris has a good price. I would have gone with it had I known.

I used the Polaris also... I asked them if as stated on the container "Synthetic Performance" meant full synthetic... but they would not answer that question.... Just an FYI
