Not really a project. I thought I would give one of those ceramic products a go. This is a quick detailer from Meguiar's, a hybrid blend. Super easy, super quick and it looks like you just added a new clearcoat! I used it on everything, even did the motorcycle paint and chrome. Cost's about $15 bucks a bottle but you don't need much. It's my new go-to cleaner!
What was today's Sling project-Mods , goodies....?

Here’s another good Detailer…….
Purple Slice found it at a bike rally while back and now use it on my Semi, Pickup and sling. Love it

Nothing like Mequiar's products

Just as an FYI we also sell a ceramic detailing spray which works great. Smells great also. You can see it here https://zzperformance.com/coll…/zzp-ceramic-detail-spray

is that the one I saw someone post on face book where it looks like he is making an offroad version with a skid plate under the front nose area and big off road front tires?

Started on a little project. After I installed a sun roof I did not like the way the wind would come in around the bars. I thought I would try a full windshield. I could not find any that I liked so I started building one. this will be a laminated glass windshield with a aluminum roof. here are some pics of the progress so far. All the fab work is done and the windshield is at a glass shop having the glass installed.

Looks like a great effort. Hope to hear it works well. My main concern would be how much heat the aluminum roof radiates into the cockpit.

Me too I hope the vents at the bottom will help.

I had one made out of stainless steel quite a few years ago and love it, later it was painted by our famous painter

Look at the new subframe and monster shock towers , what they need now is a Plus 1 quad kit for a wild beach runner , I'll give em a call lol

Now there is a mod I like but only for the looks. A 1WD off road may not work so well. Dirt bike yes a Slingshot not so much.

DDM coolant tank and coolant re-route hose. Starting thinking about how brittle the plastic tank could be after 6 years. Engine bay needs a bath. Work has been killing me lately so the Sling and the bike haven't been getting much TLC.

Nice! I like my DDM tank! I did reach out to Dave this week to get specs on the cap. Wanted to swap mine out as once back in CO I'm having the few oz coolant burp happening again. Replaced the cap with this one -https://www.summitracing.com/parts/BSP-75120 - we'll see if this has any impact or something else yet I haven't found. When I do the clutch though replacing any "clips" I didn't replace already with a good hose clamp on the coolant lines for sure!

Got to work for a bit on the new front kick panel speakers, some DB drive loud speakers. Painted the grills, got one done (forgot how much a pain these pods are to get in/out....) still need to finishing mounting but it's wired...then do other side. Have same speakers in rear humps so plan is to pull those grills off and paint as well. This Krylon rust proofing yellow seems to be matching well. I'd finish more, but Denver/Raider game and wife's family is huge Raiders fans so headed to their place for the game!

Those really look nice.

Thank You Sir, I'm really impressed with these speakers. Had two installed in rear pods in TX when audio guy showed me my kickers had blown tweeters.... Those two and my 10" sub are amazing. Can't wait to get both sides done and see how it sounds. Speakers incase anyone is interested, they are water resistant but not quite marine.
