After having hit a few hard-to-see speed bumps and raised lane dividers during night rides, I'm afraid I have a few marks like those shown in @MyToy's picture.
“Scratches” on the frame sent my 2016 to the boneyard! 😬

There has to be more to that story.

Everybody has a STORY.

December 2020, do you remember 2020? What a beautiful year huh!
Came around the corner in a light rainstorm, spun around, lost the rear end on the curb and the insurance company said there were scratches on the frame and totaled it.
like the painted caliper!

thank you! Opps! I did it again!😎
Short throw leather shift knob and boot. I really like the shape and feel of the leather knob.
I’ve always liked sheepskin on my knob…
Uh, wait…
I prefer lips.

"Brad?!.....Dr. Scott?!....Janet?!...Rocky?!....Brad?!" 🤣👄

Okay- I gotta ask… is that a “safety “ sticker!!! The rule book says ALL safety stickers are the first to be removed upon delivery! 🙃

I remember that pic now. Sorry I might have dredged up some bad memories. I still don't think the insurance company should have totaled your Slingshot if it just had a few frame scratches. I'd expect the frame to have gotten bent/warped when the swing-arm was forcefully ripped out, especially so considering there's a hollow shaft running thru the swing-arm and the frame swing-arm supports on each side. Glad you came out OK.

All good! It does hurt to think she is stripped and rusting someplace
BUT
I got a new girl now 😎
I think I solved the mystery of what Dave@DDMWORKS has been doing in his test lab. If the prototype is for sale, can I have first crack at bidding on it?

I had to laugh. I never read, or payed any attention to that sticker. Good thing it doesn't say "ejection lever to be used for emergency egress only!" I just took a tip to the garage to read it. Something about this vehicle does not conform to safety standards. It's still there, I guess it makes me feel like the slingshot is new. If it's any consolation my wife leaves those annoying tags on pillows and towels. I do cut those off when she is not looking. That's gotta be a redeeming factor!
Notice I did leave the tag on the shifter boot. That one says STATUS. I left that one in place, I believe it's to inform that with this item installed my status is now elevated to supper cool. Perhaps now I can attract the ladies? I can't wait to test it out tomorrow. Hope I don't get beat-up. Man, you guys are tough . That's why I like it here!

86,800+ miles and mine are all still in place on the Slingshot...
