I know he's got the Wycked hitch. There could be others.

It is attached to the Wycket hitch, I had to modify it because of my rear fender I welded a 1 1/4 " receiver on it.

Yes. It helps a lot when the luggage carrier has some weight to it, way less hydroplaning.

He's only four hours from me! ...lol

This is probably the best Slingshot hitch out there...

https://allthingsslingshot.com…itch-trailer-hitch-systemYeah, but just like a lot of other things I've seen, I'm afraid the price for that thing means I'll never own one. The entire weight distribution hitch that I bought for my Jayco RV didn't even cost that much... 😕

Well, If you want to pull a trailer safely with your Sling that is what you will have to get.

If the manufacturer's of hitches made em for Slingshots, those hitches would be cheaper.
But, if a feller in a barn does the research, engineers, builds, test, and brings it to a small market with little competition... he can pretty much set his own price.
And if that same feller only sells a dozen products a year, he can maintain that price.
And if that same feller gets caught up in a liabilty claim, it won't matter how much he charged for the product, it won't be enough.
But, if you want a hitch.
Two choices...
Build it yourself...
Or buy his.

Yes there are options, but there are three trailer hitch models out there. You can find a lot written up on this type of hitch and most of it is negative. The other two models are real trailer hitches. The Rivco Hitch and the Wicked Hitch

Did Rivco and Bushtec stop making hitches?? I seem to only find old articles regarding them.

I have no idea, but for Rivco go to their web site they sell all kind of stuff for motorcycles. You do not want any hitch that attaches to the swing arm.

Yes sir! There are swing arm mountable hitches out there. And a lot of folks bailed from those hitches during the swingarm recall fiasco, manufacturers and users.
The Wycked hitch may be over engineered for what is needed, but it becomes an integral part of the frame.
Whereas, the swingarm mounted hitch is attached to the suspension and drive train.
I own neither of those hitches as I built my own roof rack which pleased the wife immensely.
I do however own a pull-behind motorcycle trailer I used on my Goldwing. That hitch attached to the frame and not suspension system.

I was just curious about the swing arm hitches since the Can-Am Spyder RT has a swing arm hitch and it has not been a problem. The hitch is actually sold by BRP. I get it though... different vehicle, different specs...

I bought the HF trailer and did some things to it extra, custom size ice chest rack , spare tire rack. Gonna road test to kerrville in April. I do plan shorter road trips before for just checking track and sway if any. Think it will work great on our epic road trip in June
